For me, MY Halloween cannon films are Halloween (1978), Halloween 2 followed by this new Halloween (2018).

I don't feel the events in Halloween 2 take anything away from this film. The story line about Michel and Laurie being related in part 2 is explained in this film as simply a rumor. That works for me.

I can even handle seeing Michael burn at the end of part 2 and somehow, surviving and end up in prison for this last installment. Perhaps the ONLY thing neglected about Halloween 2 is the body count because they only reference the body count from the first film. I can just go ahead and overlook that as a continuity blooper.

Seeing the terror that Laurie continues to experience at the hospital in Halloween 2, really helps to explain her 20+ years of trauma in this film. For me....it works.

However....all the OTHER Halloweens.....I have officially deleted from my reality. LOL. They simply don't exist in MY world of Michael Myers.

But that wouldn't make much sense because Michael Burned at the end of Halloween II. Why would Laurie spend the next 40 years trying to trap him just to try and burn him alive again?

Just face it. H2 doesn't exist with the current timeline.
