Default Amazon just cancelled my Fox movie pre-order

It seems that Fox is delaying so much and can't set a date at all so Amazon went and canceled a pre-order I had for a Fox movie (Mr. and Mrs. Smith).

Does anyone know what the latest info is from Fox? They wouldn't be so fearful of piracy as to skip this holiday season for Blu-ray? It's a little disappointing, they need to get over it and start releasing their movies again. With Universal stubbornly in HD-DVD's camp and Warner trying to slow Blu-ray down to keep both formats alive, we could really use some Fox releases.

Hunt tells us Fox is coming back fairly soon, and he's had a good track record so far.

Or more accurately, they have made up their mind, and the conditions they set forth for resuming release have not been met yet

I think the thing here is that the people he has contact with are not the ones holding things back.

I'll bet the people involved at Fox in authoring discs (like a Fox version of paidgeek) are just itching to put out titles. And are being told they will be. But, someone higher up is so petrified of theft that they are being overly cautious.

Look at paidgeek's response to me in the Insider's Thread about Sony. He said they of course don't like the issues with AACS and theft, but they don't believe they are losing much revenue because of it.

Fox are being way too careful.
