Watched this last night and loved the sound. It looks pretty good too but the sound was great. Very nice atmosphere.

Anyway, I saw it at the theater and have the unrated extended DVD as well but I was wondering if the nudity was the only addition in the extended versions. It has been a few years since I saw at the theater and I can't remember for sure.

I can only recall a couple of brief scenes that were added. One is the one you mentioned, and another is that the scene in the beginning while they were in the helicopter was extended a few seconds.

Yep, it is a pretty common thing to do in this forum. Some people keep an online list of the blu-ray movies they own at some web site. Still others use some other web site to track movies they want. If it wasn't for Amazon I would forget half the movies I want to buy.

Finally got around to picking this up - $8 at WalMart. It's been a few years since I've seen it and I still enjoyed it for what it was - scifi / action / horror movie. It had great sound throughout .

My local Walmart had all these new steelbook collectors edition versions and IO picked up Doom today because I haven't seen it in years. According to the site they're out about a month early thought so I guess that's cool, lol

I agree. Felt it was worthy of my collection at that price.

Doom is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. It has Karl Urban, Dwayne Johnson and Rosamund Pike, heck yeah! Simple, mindless action with some nifty creature designs and pays homage with the first person shooter sequence. No matter how many times I watch it, it never bores me.
