A few local stores had some stock after midnight, but they were all gone by mid morning Tuesday.
Dang, your Best Buy is open after midnight? Or am I misunderstanding you?Ours is closed at 9:00 PM on weekdays.

Anyone else have issues finding this in stock yesterday? The only places that I have to purchase UHD Blu-ray are Target and Walmart. Neither store had a single copy put out on my lunch break or after work yesterday. My local Target is weeks behind on new releases constantly now. I know it's the fact that these companies staff these stores so poorly that they stay consistently behind on inventory making it out to the shelves. It just frustrates me as I still enjoy going into a store and purchasing a movie and having it in hand the moment I purchase it. I'm not ready to switch to online buying honestly, but the way brick and mortar stores are going I may be forced to.

Mine had plenty of the regular Blu bundle. I don't remember how many they had of the UHD copies, other than the fact that they only had a total of two UHD steelbooks on the floor at opening.

No, they are all closed by 9 or 10pm. I meant checking store pickup availability on their website right after midnight started to show stores where u could pickup on-line orders. But again, didn't last long, by mid morning they were showing not available for either pickup or shipping.

Worth it for the action and fx. I come to a TF to see robots smashing the shit out of each other and every Bay movie delivers that in spades.
Right? Like I don’t know what people expect from a Transformers movie. I truly believe that these movies are just victims of mob-mentality hate.

I'm on the list of folks that they lost after the very heh first movie (and "heh" is a bit generous)....so my question is, since this one is getting legit great reviews from most sources, as a blind buy, does it work as a stand alone or would I have to subject myself to the rubbish sequels to follow along? Thanks in advance!

For me, works perfectly as a stand-alone.
I really enjoyed it, and I’m not a huge fan boy of the other films

What does heh mean in this context?

You don't know? You used it and now you're having to guess what you meant?

I love Michael Bay and I absolutely loathe every single TF sequel he's made. A complacent Bay is not a fun Bay imo. He needs different material to keep his style from getting stale. It also helps when he cares about his characters to some degree.

Definitely doesn't sound like you love him. If you loathe half his filmography I'd say you're lukewarm on him.

I don't get why you'd watch number 5 in a franchise, when you've hated the proceeding three.

I haven't personally viewed the previous three (I said as much in my earlier post)...they were panned by critics so I passed...now this one is getting praised so I thought I'd ask for input if it would be a safe blind buy and can be viewed without knowing the events of the others.

As for my dunno comment...gimmie a break, lol, it's easy to get my point, I didn't seriously mean "I don't know" about what I meant with the term "heh", "heh" was just a way of saying the first flick was "SO SO" in my opinion...and if you need THAT ("so so") defined AGAIN, welp, sorry...

I did the disc + digital preorder from Vudu about a week or so ago, and won't even get it until tomorrow at best. I didn't watch the digital since I was expecting the disc. This is the first and last time that I preorder from them.

Why would you choose Vudu Disc+Digital if you're not going to take advantage of having the digital early? I'm genuinely curious because that's why I've been doing it. Besides being able to sell off the extra code that comes with the release, that's really the only purpose in doing it that I can think of.

Yeah, for some reason Vudu is late with shipping this one out. I already watched the stream (which was very good) but another member here is getting my extra code and I was going to watch the disc this morning while my son was at pre-school, so it is disappointing that they dropped the ball.

There are better films with better effects.

There are better films with better action scenes.

You can miss me with this shit.

I don’t hate Michael Bay—I even enjoy ‘13 Hours’ and ‘Pain and Gain’—but the Transformers films are him at his absolute worst.
