It happens. Usually no repeats. Only one repeat this time around.

I'm so mad, I placed my order and totally forgot to add The Ice Harvest. When I started browsing that was one of my "ooh, gotta check for that." Then i spaced.

Is it possible to add to an order?

No. But you can cancel your order as long it hasn't been more than 3 hours.

Placed two hours ago and I don't see an option to cancel in my order summary.

Will 'Long Day's Journey Into Night' be released on blu later this year? Also, did KL get the rights to 'Kalli Blues', and if not do you know which company got the rights to it?

Thanks! That's what I did. They were super helpful. All for some more Harold Ramis in my collection.

Yes, it would be a huge project, but... as you said, it’s a cult horror title — a Stephen King cult horror title at that. Scorpion just sold ~1,000+ copies of Opera at $50 a pop (one of which is on my shelf). These cult horror fans generally understand higher prices if the label is transparent about just how much work and money they put into it. - LOL. So, you think we would recoup our expenses if we sold 1000, 2000 or 3000 copies? Maybe, if we sold 20,000 copies.
I guess my confusion enters the picture here, because Kino fully scanned and restored both seasons of The Outer Limits, which is dozens of hours worth of material, and the prices of these sets are $60 for season 1 and $45 for season 2 on Amazon, which is much less than $80 for much more content. Why would Storm of the Century, a 4.25 hour miniseries, be so much more wildly impractical? Is it the CGI? Does the series contain that much? Is up-resing the CGI bits not an option?

Kino spends a lot of money restoring old movies no one buys - Yes, that's what we do... wow.

Storm of the Century is a cult horror title. It's a Stephen King miniseries, and one of the better ones. It would've made an awesome Blu-ray. - All true, that's why we acquired it.

I mean, who's gonna buy another DVD that's been out for 20 years already? Not me. - We don't expect you or anyone else who owns the previous DVD to buy it, but like we said before, it's a great catalog title and should be available again, even if it's only on DVD.

But I would've bought the Blu-ray. And many others would have, too. - Yes, we know.

But I don't see why they won't put the work in on something cool, when it's obviously a good title, something that doesn't already exist. No, I'm not overtly familiar with the process or the work involved. But if there's a title that's worth it, it's a cult horror title. Especially a Stephen King cult horror title. - Because we would never recoup the exorbitant expenses. We know how much it'll cost to scan, remaster and re-edit 5 hours of raw cuts. There's also all the computerized special effects that would need to be recreated in HD.

Why not do it and charge more money for it? That RoninFlix release of Hardware went for $40 bucks new, and everyone bought that. - We would not recoup, even if we charge $80 for it.

With the right marketing, Storm of the Century could've been a big seller. - Again, that's why we acquired it, with or without "right marketing" it would've been a big seller.

An amazing performance from Colm Feore. - Yes, a great performance.

My thoughts exactly... it’s a shame but it sounds like their DVD-only plans are set in stone at this point. It’s a double shame considering the Insider basically confirmed that the work and money put toward Trilogy of Terror II (which required the same type of work Storm of the Century, and which I’ve never seen anyone actually request), was a bit of a waste. They shoulda/coulda put those funds toward SotC. - TOT II is a 90-minute film also with no cut negative, but without any computer special effects, making it an easier title to restore. We originally planned to remaster both and some other titles, but wanted to test the waters with the easier and much cheaper of the two projects and glad we did. We would need to spend 4 to 6 times more to restore SOTC. Lots of fans requested TOT II after we announced the original, it's not a classic like the original, but it's still a Dan Curtis production directed by the legendary filmmaker.

Yes, it would be a huge project, but... as you said, it’s a cult horror title — a Stephen King cult horror title at that. Scorpion just sold ~1,000+ copies of Opera at $50 a pop (one of which is on my shelf). I think people are just disappointed because they were excited about this title on blu. I completely understand it being cost prohibitive but it’s still disappointing. Keep up the good work.

I wonder if they are looking at dvd sales data and the support just isn't there. Maybe Stephen King fans over estimate the popularity of some of his projects. It is bleak news for fans of cult tv of this era, if companies won't take a chance on King unlikely we will see much of anything else.

Stephen King once said he no longer writes for money. Someone should ask him to bankroll the restoration.

Kino Lorber Insider: Why are you lying here and say that Bronsonīs "Cold Sweat" got a new master?

Somebody who owns the blu-ray confirmed that Bronsonīs T-shirt which he wears throughout the film is more black than dark blue.

I own a great HDTV version shown on German TV and Bronsonīs T-shirt is dark blue. You can clearly !!!!! see that.

Itīs a fact that Bronsonīs T-shirt is dark blue and not black.

Another disappointing release of you. But the worst thing is that you told us that the picture quality would be very good.

I have no words.

The SRP for season one is 99.95 and season two 79.95. We might be able to charge $49.95 for STORM, and even then we would hear how overpriced it is. A year from now no would care or remember what it may've taken us to release the mini-series.

THE OUTER LIMITS (49 50-minute B&W episodes - scanned in HD from restored IPs) was expensive, but the SOTC restoration could potentially cost more. Two season on two boxed sets at $180SRP, compared to STORM one double disc Blu-ray at $40SRP - You do the math.

UP-resing the CGI bits may be the only option and it would look like crap.
