It's not supposed to be card carrying and flag waving. That's the whole point and one of the reasons I love it so much. It is so far from being stereotypical that it's more realistic to gay guys like myself. I mean just because it doesn't have a bunch of drag queens or bull dykes and a soundtrack from Cyndi Lauper and K.D. Lang doesn't make it complete hogwash. It just sounds like your friends and uncle are heterophobic.
