You think??

Whatever that guy does, it completely wrecks the colour space of his "4K comparisons", I see a similar effect (not just the astonishingly heavy cyan bias but also look at how radioactive the reds are) if I force the BT.2020 colour space onto BT.709 stuff, it's because the values of the primaries and secondaries are now in completely different points on the TV than they are in the content itself, thus badly skewing the colour.

Random example, using the 1080p BD of Oblivion. Usual photo caveats apply, but you get my drift.

Correct BT.709 colour space:

Forced BT.2020 colour space, note how lobster red he now is and how the shadows have a deep cyan tint:

Overall I think this disk looks great, except the parade portion.

I didnt notice any cyan tint or anything, but that particular scene was way to blue. My wife brought up that it was the spotlights giving off that effect, then I showed her the before on dc universe and she went, oh.

That's really my only complaint, that blue is not evident when they show the people. batman flying over, and knox and vale, just the joker's float.

The new soundtrack is not awful like alot are making it seem. Jarring at first if you have seen this movie a dozen times, but the gunshots are great.

When Batman enables the shields on the batmobile it kinda goes with the sound it makes in returns.

Here's 2 of the original 709 Blu-ray captures boosted to 2020γ2.2 color space. Who knows what they look like in a real 2020 monitor, can only see the saturation distortion up to a 709 or P3 monitor max limits

Was going to pick up 1 & 2 in the morning. All my Best Buy’s say that 2, 3 and 4 are in stock, but not the first one. You can only order that one. Anyone else have that problem?

All the revisions to the colour and sound, and yet the Joker's hickey is still there!

Have people already forgotten the 35mm stuff that was posted looking exactly like the 4k more or less?

Like listening to a song you love but the guitar tone or snare drum sound has suddenly been replaced with something different. It's not necessarily bad in itself, but its something that was not asked for and it forces your memory to question itself which ruins the experience.
It can be annoying when the film doesn't sound like you remember it, but it can also be more than that.

I never saw the Dirty Harry films until DVD, but the altered sound effects in the first couple of them still bug me because they just don't sound like they should be coming out of a movie from that era.

There isn't a Best Buy anywhere in this hemisphere and even I know Best Buy's website shows no stock when there's only a couple of copies of a thing, and you need to physically go to the store to see if they have any.

I have a copy of the LaserDisc audio synced to the 2010 Blu-ray, which I muxed in with the UHD. From a cursory glance at the beginning and end of the movie, it appears to maintain sync throughout. That said, I've heard there are confirmed frame differences, so perhaps it goes in and out of sync in the middle somewhere. I don't really have time to watch it all the way through this week, but I thought I'd report this. It's also possible the frame differences don't amount to more than a frame or so of de-sync throughout, I can't say for sure.

The blemish is literally the least of the problems with the colour in that shot, WHICH IS NOT WHAT THE UHD LOOKS LIKE AT ALL

So I am considering buying this. How big is the audio mix difference? Is it distracting?

For me it's jarring enough for me to go to the trouble tonight to attempt to sync a previous sound mix with the original sound effects to the new transfer. If you've watched the movie a lot in your life, it's noticeable.

I haven't even heard it yet, however I will be doing the same. I saw Batman in the theaters at least a dozen times and wore out the original VHS. As others have stated, I just wish they included the theatrical mix.
