I wished they wouldn't use those stupid "Ouverture", "Intermission" etc. cards but probably they will, otherwise some moron customers will complain about missing video.

I’m talking about the cards that aren’t part of the movie (music plays while the curtain is closed) but need to be added for home video just so there is “something” on the screen.

If you’re a fan, suit yourself.

I don't care either way, to be honest, but you're complaining about something that may or may not be included, and using denigrating language towards hypothetical customers who would complain about something when in reality the majority of people would also not give a shit either way.

Amazon has entirely removed the overture and entracte music from their streaming version of Funny Girl after a bunch of unenlightened folks posted reviews carping that something is wrong with the movie. I responded by asking for a refund because i paid for the complete version they had up first.

This kind of thing has happened enough times since the dawn of home video for me to take a dim view of altering the original to appease the ignorant instead of presenting it properly and informing them why.

Other vendors are streaming the full version. Movies Anywhere for example, has roadshow elements missing on Amazon Prime Video.

The ones who do it right are the ones who get my money. Those who don't do not.

I respect your standards, but isn't having the film in glorious HD still better than nothing at all?

Just another reason to buy a DISC instead of a stream.

Who said i didn't buy a disc? I have bought Funny Girl and Happiest Millionaire discs twice each. We buy the digital version so we can watch movies anywhere. I won't buy the disc in this case because it's not complete.

This right here is exactly why I will always treasure my physical library. Casual streamers may never notice or care about these things but it's incredibly disrespectful to consumers who have already purchased the title to alter the content without their consent.

Also, half the people leaving reviews on Amazon clearly haven't opened a book since high school. 40% of that website is a tidal wave of hilariously fractured grammar.
