Not gonna lie a big part of it for me is the code not being redeemable on one of the regular streaming providers. I haven’t redeemed my Alamo Drafthouse digital copies either because of this (well that and I really don’t want to register for yet another site I’ll probably forget about). I debate between straight up giving away or just caving and registering so I can redeem.

I also consider the likelihood of the site/service going defunct and wonder if it’s even worth it

I didn't bother redeeming my Yoga Hosers code either just because it's not a Vudu or MA code. Everybody says the movie is crappy anyway. I haven't watched it yet.

I've been trying to trade my extra Fright Night 2: New Blood code from an old DT batch but no one wants the damn thing. Anybody have any code they want to trade for it just pm me and I'll take whatever just to unload it.

I like codes (unfortunately I'm away at hospital more than I like and entertainment must be digital) and normally I'd be all over a free code, but I'm passing on this -- I don't want to sign up for a service, that I don't want and I will likely never remember that I have this single title floating on some service I haven't heard of or care about.

They did have single blurays of Drumline and Death Wish (only the second copies of both movies that I've seen in this area).

I only picked up two DVDs though. Specifically, I grabbed Rendezvous (mostly because it had a slipcover). It stars Stana Katic from the TV series Castle.

I also grabbed Titanic: The Epic Miniseries Event. This differs from the BBC Titanic series that was floating around the last sale



Still waiting on 1 (possibly 2) stores to get their stock put out.

Nice Titanic pick. I remember seeing it on one of the local tv stations and it was presented as a mini-series airing multiple nights. I believe they put it out to compete with the Cameron epic. Great cast but obviously doesn't come close to Cameron's Titanic. I picked it up on blu-ray for about $5.

I went to the Dollar Tree closest to my house today and in a rare move, they restocked (or had additional boxes in the back) and this time there were blu-rays (in my last post, I mentioned one of the stores having 95% DVD). I managed to get 99 Homes and The Adventurer on Blu-ray. They had a few others but I only had three dollars cash and this particular location I've had issues with their card readers in the past

I don't quite understand the title -- it sounds interesting, but doesn't really match the movie.

The cover art to the DVD is easily the best part of the entire thing.

The description of the movie sounds like an interesting B/C level movie... but there's very little of that in the actual film. It mostly focuses on two low level thugs who work for a mafia boss and are beginning to re-think their life choices. Then there's some ridiculous action at the end that's not terribly good.

Vivica A. Fox and Michael Madsen are the only known actors and they both have bit roles of just a few minutes.

Yeah, the cover caught my eye. Read the synopsis on the back and it sounded interesting. I thought it would be like a bootleg Cannonball Run.

Bless your heart for watching it to the end.

Would definitely be interested to hear what you think if you sit through it. Who knows -- you may like it. It just didn't work for me.

One of the last two holdouts in this area finally put their movies out. I called earlier this afternoon but didn't have a chance to make it over there until tonight. I don't think it mattered as the bin was completely full and blocked by two large displays of fake flowers. I had to move the damn things in order to look through the movies. This is one that had put a box or so of movies in the book section, but it's such a mess they were impossible to really look through. The only bluray I saw was The Power of Few, and there were no DVDs really of note. Because I had driven over there, I ended up grabbing Lego Friends: Friends Together Again for the kid. I looked through the old stock and new stuff in the book section and ALMOST got The Assassin's Code with Justin Chatwin (Shameless), but decided against it after reading a few reviews.

You and I both know that this isn't going to be your last DT haul.. You'll find yourself in a week or two going into one for a book or something and will find a movie or two.
