I have a couple of trades going and I still need shipping supplies, which i usually get from DT, based on advice given to me during a DG "glitch" trade a year or two ago. For anyone who has more experience with this, is there a better way to ship something than buying an envelope from DT and going to the slow and inefficient post office and sweating in line for 25 minutes? Is there a way to get free shipping supplies, labels, etc.? Any better alternatives to the post office that aren't more expensive? (I've used third-party shipping places or UPS Store in the past, but they're slower and/or pricier, but I usually eat the cost because it's less of a drive and I'm in and out in two minutes.) Edit: I just remembered that there's a gas station (or something like that?) near my closest DT that acts as a USPS hub. Is this the same as going to an actual post office? Enjoy! ![]() Quote:

You can trade in empty ink cartridges to a place like staples and get mailers with the rewards. There used to be a way to print a label from paypal for anyone and still get a discount, but I am not sure if that still exists since they split from ebay. |

I always mail my stuff from a gas station that's a USPS auxiliary spot.
It actually works just fine for me. The lines aren't long at all, and I've sent trades to California via media mail that have gotten there 2-3 days after I dropped them off (although that probably has more to do with the location than the fact it's an auxiliary spot). The last holdout Dollar Tree in my area finally put their new stock out. No new blurays for this area, unfortunately. I did grab a DVD copy of Prince: Up Close and Personal for a friend who is/was a big fan. I also hadn't seen this before. Unfortunately, no other DVDs of note either. |

I went to one store today that still hadn't put anything out. They now have the poster up for the blurays and the item of the week table had the bluray sign up, but still those halloween things. So hopefully late tonight or tomorrow everything will be put out for me.

Also, did you go inside? Sometimes the Halloween crap surrounds the Blus, which would be impossible to tell if you're just driving by and window shopping. I have a feeling I missed a few days in my "good" store because of this. |

I once received a book nearly 6 months after the date it was mailed, and think it was very likely because the info was so impossible to make out. In fact, I was rather impressed that USPS got it to me at all. |

Very nice site. You can print labels directly at USPS, but not 1st Class or Media Mail. The PP site also gives you some sort of commercial rate (First Class up to 16oz instead of 13 oz standard) and it's really nice for international -- a bit cheaper and being able to do 1 sheet customs form/shipping label/postage is a killer deal. Saves about 20 minutes at the post office with those quadruplicate forms that take forever to go through and then 5x longer to check out at the counter even if you do the forms at home. |

One of my two local stores finally put out their movies on the front table. They did put out one box last week, but I've been checking all week to see if they would have more. They had a total of 3 blu-rays. I already picked up The Man from Earth: Holocene from the box they put out last week. This is what I bought:
blu-ray: Yoga Hosers Red vs. Blue: Season 10 DVD: 10 Movies of Excellence (Blade/Maximum Force/Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy/This Revolution/Choke/The Swap/The Eliminator/The Life Before This/Hindsight/A Father's Revenge) Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders Canterbury's Law: The Complete Series Con Man (2017) Gulliver's Travels (1996) her The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1982) Jeanne and the Perfect Guy The Layover Loose Cannons/Another You Mercy Street Moby Dick (1998) Necessary Evil: Super-villains of DC Comics Scooby Doo and KISS Rock and Roll Mystery A couple of these DVDs I feel like I may have purchased before. I really need to start cataloging my DVDs. |

My copy of Wonder Years came with a little booklet detailing each episode, some trivia, and an intro from Fred Savage. Pleasant surprise to find inside.
