T.O. on his best behavior? Ever since his big playoff catch with the 49ers, he's gotten more unstable. It's sad to see, honestly.

Buffalo made some good strides last season (until the end), and I think this may end up being a bit of a road block. It can't be easy for the players trying to come back from being the perrenial doormat of the AFC East, only to have some hot-headed hotshot tear the locker room apart.

I like the Bills (though I'm a Giants fan), and their fans, and I really do hope T.O. proves me wrong....

On PTI last week they were talking about the possibility of him going to New England which would have just been disgusting, but the Bills always rope me into hoping they'll win so this has gotten that off to an early start this season. I'm intrigued.

We're talking about the Bills, and you're talking about winning Super Bowls. They are mutually exclusive.

It will be interesting, as this may be the very first time he has a below average quarterback throwing him the ball. If he had issues before, good luck with a sub-par QB in the snow and wind in the months of Nov and Dec. He hasn't experienced anything like late Fall and Winter in Buffalo, but he is about to....

sub par!? trent edwards had a better qb rating on the year than brett favre, joey flacco, ben rothlesburger, and kerry collins. and the guy was injured for like 3 weeks. how is that sub par??

Judge for yourself:

Passing Stats Year Team G Att Comp Pct Yds TD Int QB rating
2007 Buffalo Bills 10 269 151 56.1 1,630 7 8 70.4
2008 Buffalo Bills 13 349 231 66.2 2,571 11 10 86.5

Clearly not in the same league as the other QB's you mentioned, he has as many INT's and TD's for his career and he career QB rating is below 80. Match that up against Steve Young, Jeff Garcia (when at SF with T.O.), McNabb and Romo......and no playoff wins. I think this makes a pretty good case.

Good Lord, 11 TDs and 10 INTs? Yikes. Dan Orlovsky, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Derek Anderson had comparable numbers.

I read that it was Edwards who got the ball rolling to get T.O. That's interesting; at least he knows what he's in for.

Could be a very interesting year for the Bills. But then, obviously, you need to ditch T.O. after that.

Glad the Giants didn't get him. Maybe they learned a lesson?

As a die hard Bills fan, I am pleased by the signing. We needed a big and physical receiver to give Lee Evans some breathing room, I think Evans could have a huge season now. Owens will take most of the double teams. It's only a one year contract and he'll be on his best behavior this season and try his best to not ruffle too many feathers. I am cautiously optimistic that this could be great for Buffalo Bills football.

I've changed teams a lot.

As a kid I liked the Giants and Bills (I grew up in NY, but lived in Buffalo during the summers).

Then Madden 93 was released, and I saw the Panthers were rated 99 or so in every category, so they were my new favorite team (and I thought it'd be cool to follow a franchise from its very beginning).

So my favorite teams became the Panthers, and the Giants/Bills as my alternate.

That's pretty much how it still is today. I like all 3 teams, and if the Bills/Panthers met in the playoffs, or the Giants met either of them in the Super Bowl, I wouldn't really care who won.

You've been listening to Skip Bayless.....but I couldn't agree more.
There is no way I would want this guy on my team.
The way he acts, you'd think he was the best receiver, scratch that, the best PLAYER to ever suit up.

All Buffalo needs now is Chad Johnson(oh sorry,"Ocho Sinco"), and they'd be set.

Great move by Buffalo, they needed that extra fire power to pair up with Lee Evans. It's only a one-year deal, so it's a no risk for the Bills, he will be on his best behavior so some team next year he could get a big contract from (Raiders, etc).

Oh, and if any of you play fantasy football, Trent Edwards fantasy value shot through the roof.

Ah yeah unfortunately i had him last year and he was lucky if he had 3 good games all season last year. Mostly hurt but he never broke out, he would have a good game then have 3 horrible ones.

Onto the move of getting t.o. it cant hurt, not sure how he will react when the bills have 6 straight losses, he has never really had to deal with a extremely bad season. Last year was one of his worst and no surprise the cowboys paid to ship him out!
