True but they are a BD exclusive supporter. That's the kind of title that would really get my interest.

I really really hope that Full Metal was the last MPEG2 WB BD title. These new ones had better be (at least mostly) VC-1...

I also wonder if Paramount has been waiting for VC-1 to release BD. Would not be surprised if Disney and Fox have also been waiting for advanced codec authoring to do any releases....

Crossing fingers...

Correct. I think Disney as a studio has the largest collection of influential titles. Keeping Disney exclusive to BD is a key factor in the so called war...

Universal has some interesting titles, but not as many key titles. Still, keeping Universal exclusive to HD DVD will be key for that format's survival also.

Content will be the decider, of that I am sure... call it my last prediction ...

Agreed. If studio support remains the same then BD has the upperhand as it allows them some time to improve quality-wise.

I heard through my (trustworthy?) gravevine that FMJ is the last MPEG2 WB title and all will be VC-1 from now on.

I also heard that Corpse Bride will hit BD 2 weeks before HD DVD.

Now that is odd...

I take that as a promise that you'll stop making predictions from now on?

And Reservoir Dogs looks great on the Lionsgate "Coming soon" trailer they put on their BDs. Awesome in fact.

Granted that PQ is identical, preferably better And better/larger CE support will help too.

It's an okay remake. I'll be buying it though since I loved the actual melting of the museum. That was a fun scene. Plus it's got Elisha Cuthbert. As an added bonus you get to see Paris Hilton get killed.
