Is the scene shot with static framing or is there camera movement going on? You can't judge a frozen shot of a movie as if it where intended as a still photograph or painting. That screenshot could have very different framing if it were taken 5 frames earlier or later. Perhaps there is some slow zooming or panning that keeps changing the perspective during the scene.

Then there's this. Shield perfectly centered, and now moved high-left:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=1469.

And the titles are supposed to high-left for no stylistic reason instead of centered, right?
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=1421

It is not framed properly. The PQ is better, but the framing is off to the point of distraction.
The opening title actually looks correctly framed on the 2015 blu-ray and incorrect on the 2007 blu-ray, and this is based on the example you just gave. Not exactly sure what you're arguing here.

Who is wasting time? I have two pet peeves in home video, excessive DNR, and color timing of a film that doesn't look right...to me. I could care less What the rest of the world thinks. I bought the 4K version, wasn't impressed (like the BD release before it) and won't watch it again.

The 1994 Czechoslovakian Laserdisc is the only correct release. It looks amazing on my OLED.

At least the color timing is correct on the Laserdisc.

What did you think of the T2 UHD? And is the laserdisc better?

It is all subjective. If image quality is vastly superior, yet the color ruins the experience of that film, then I will gladly take an inferior video image with a pleasing color grade. The superbit upconverted on my 4K set looks spectacular.
But,
If color timing means nothing to you, then I have no place to argue this point. You like what you like as do I.

For example:

I would take an inferior quality video of this
IMG_0822.jpg

Over an increased video quality of the same film that looks like this
IMG_0821.jpg

Any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

His point is the frame moves. Every example people have thrown up about the framing is something I've checked and determined to be B.S., because they're moving shots. "Oh the top of his head is cut off!" people scream, when the shot is one that moves up his body and eventually contains his whole head in both masters. It's a perfect example of finding something to complain about.

Perfect discs are rare, but the UHD is miles beyond every previous disc version.

Sure, only there's less excuse to have something like that on UHD. UHD is still the best version to watch the movie, unless you prefer brighter picture of SD.

There's no excuse to ever have black crush regardless of format, but the UHD is still better off in that respect than the Mi4K BD.

I agree. They really messed up this UHD release.
