Doe anyone else believe that First Contact really altered the Star Trek universe that much and thus affected the look of the NX-01? Granted Enterprise NX-01 was less sophisticated that the Kirk version, but there are indeed nuances that you notice that make you wonder.

Plus, let's it, the most recent Star Trek trailer has a seriously wicked looking Enterprise in it.

Not trying to start a flame war, but I have read tons of articles regarding the show's demise and how fans didn't care for certain "upgrades" and how many were turned off by them.

Feel free to discuss...
i enjoyed the show for what it was, entertainment. i love the star trek universe and any 'fan' complaining should keep it to themselves because as of right now, im amazed theres a movie. there are no tv shows in the works that i know of and fans can kill any plans because of the little things they complain about. i want a show. plus i think the 'fans' complaining are the ones with the vulcan ears going to conventions

edit: please note im not trying to offend anyone
