Other than having to do a firmware update, no problems with any blu's I've gotten so far. Not even a smudge on any of them, either....and there have been about 20 or so so far.

Gamefly discs though....those look like they've been violated by a paperclip gnome.

I've never had a problem with any of the Blu-rays that I've rented. Actually, all of them have been almost spotless. I have had a good amount of cracked/broken DVDs

On a side note, has anyone else been able to rent the Blu-ray version of Supernatural Season 3? It says it's available but I don't see any option to select it.

I suggest to have a proper cleaning cloth, which I have strategically forgot there name...

to remove any fingerprints smuges any other vile irritant.

Very few things netflix ever bothered sent me were playable even with such cloth because they were either snapped in two or in 100's of small little pieces...

I discontinued there services... and have no intention of going back.

blame your mailman, not Netflix

I have had a few discs skip or hang and a cleaning usually covers it - I have had a dud with Mad Men season 1 disc 2 where the PS3 wouldn't recognize it

I usually clean my disks before playing them. Small smudges seem to affect both audio and video so much that the movie will pause for a second or two. But a good cleaning helps.

I can blame them when they email me on each one telling me it will take 7 days to get to me... and its broken.

And there is no physical sign of the package being broken torn or folded for that matter.. maybe im wrong but I think there sending me discs without checking to see if there in one piece.

Im sorry but if your paying them and everything you get is broken, how do they expect you to want to keep paying them?

They totally remained unresponsive and almost machine like.

And I could tell if they sent me a email that said they had to send it from another distro center = disc will be broken. On the dot every time.

Btw no im not totaly mad at discs being broken, the lack of response and attempts to contact them, there almost machine like operation and there appsolute lack of customer support, which has utteredly ensure I never use there service again.

I've had 1 that wouldn't play.

...but then, I've also had 2 DVDs that wouldn't play from Netflix.

This doesn't really surprise me, I'm pretty sure that a lot of their DVDs/blus get produced in house, because the discs aren't always the same that you'd see in the case if you bought it. This would explain problems here and there, but overall since they deal with it responsibly and don't blame the customer for their own problems, I don't make a big issue out of it.

my wife had Twilight yesterday and it was skipping and stalling but she didn't clean it before putting it in the palyer.

Once I cleaned it for her it played with no issues. seems like blu-ray is more sensitive to smudges and other residue than it is to scratches

I'm with you on that. I haven't had a problem yet, but if this is how they handle it, I'm more than OK with it.

I just wish they'd "let" us non-Roku box (or the LG and Samsung players that can stream Netflix) users stream higher-quality video. If they opened this up, I'd have to grade Neflix as an A+ service.

I'm just curious if anyone else is dealing with these issues too........
Yes. I've had way too many myself and changed my subscription back to DVD.
