when I was in, I broke my back and my friend had a broken hip, and the doc threw both of our docs out the door and told us to stop malingering.

The next day we did a 5K run with all our normal gear. After we both fell out at about 3.5K, our 1stSgt got pissed and somehow we were both X-rayed and actually checked out. both of us spent a while in Balboa and/or on convalescent leave. Almost 4 years later, my back is is finally getting much better, but he still walks like Mr. Peanut sans the top hat and monocle. I suspect I would have finished my enlistment if I had been given light duty, but that three and a half K in armor, packs and weapons really farked it up...

STILL irritates me that I got PCND'ed out.

It happens ALL the time in and out of the military.



BTW, another "outrage" is that (iirc) the Army started trying to charge duders for lost equipment in Iraq. I think they may have stopped when word got out. I hate Admin also
