Has anyone seen ZPG? I like Oliver Reed and this film sounds pretty wacked. Zardoz is one of my all time favorites so I am thinking it might be a good blind buy for me...

Yeah, the people who love to ban films and cancel artists and have conniption fits over Roman Polanski releases should have a field day with this one...

KLI, regarding the while supplies last sale, would you say that, in general, the price is a good indicator of the quantity remaining? The ones you said were low quantity all appeared to be in the $10-12 range.

Should we ignore the fact that he appears in the film, or delete his scenes or cancel the release?

Edit: The whole world is falling apart around us and I spend valuable time to answer a few questions two to three times a week and post some announcements. The last thing I want to do is argue about the inclusion or exclusion of Sir Pedophile in the Go Go Mania synopsis.

I liked it. It's fairly low key but the story was interesting and I always enjoy seeing Oliver Reed.

Looking at the remaining possibilities, this means that one (or more) of these three movies below are included in the 2nd Universal deal:
[Show spoiler]
This Is The Night (1932) (Film debut of Cary Grant, although he is not the lead in this. Could maybe see this in a possible Cary Grant boxset.)

Ladies Should Listen (1934) (Also with Cary Grant. Could maybe see this in a possible Cary Grant boxset as well.)

Lucky Jordan (1942) (With Alan Ladd, somewhat of a mix of gangster/film noir/comedy/WWII patriotism. Could see this one maybe getting a solo release, in the same vein that Murder, He Says had, as I can't really imagine any set it'd fit into, given that most of the remaining Alan Ladd movies have been ruled out or would be put into different sets.)

Out of all of these, I'd think that either This Is The Night or Lucky Jordan are the likeliest possibilities.

KLI,
Can KLSC pick up Vampire's Kiss (1989)? It went OOP from Scream Factory not long ago and I would rather purchase it as a stand alone release.

It sounds like the Paramount deal fell through because they offered Kino mostly B-titles and not enough A-titles. Kino said no, and Paramount decided to release the A-titles themselves.

Well, I agree that it's not worth arguing over, but of the choices you offered, I would say that it would probably be best if KINO ignored the fact that a guy who was accused of raping mentally handicapped children on their hospital beds was in the film. I certainly don't think mentioning him in the synopsis or anywhere with regards to the release serves any purpose.

Hmmm, I don't know. They did this second Universal deal and I'm not seeing many A-titles. And that's fine. I'm super excited for The Suspect, Internes Can't Take Money & Kiss The Blood Off My Hands (though this is from the 1st deal), among others.

Maybe the titles escape me, but which titles would you say are A-titles from the second Universal deal?

Wow, I didn't think Go Go Mania would be even possible for a home video release due to the music. I've only seen clips as part of Joe Dante's The Movie Orgy.

(Also, Kino is probably in the right in mentioning that Savile is in the film since it would probably be even more awkward to not even mention it. No reason to get angry as he's dead and burning in hell anyways)
