That's normal for this disc.

It might be a studio canal thing. The same lack of menu music was on the John Carpenter 4K discs they did (They Live, The Fog etc.).

I bought the 2-disc edition yesterday at Bull Moose. When I put it in the player, I discovered I had mistakenly bought the BD version! I completely forgot this was also coming out on BD, so when I saw it on the shelf, I just grabbed it without thinking.

I bought the 5 disc version from Amazon UK. Will not get to view it till this weekend. I am gonna be disappointed that I will not be able to view the regular BluRays since I live in US, for the special features. I got so excited, did not check the regions. I wanted the extras. I should have bought the 2 disc here as well. Still might, but they are mostly sold out and full price for the ones that have it in stock.

Man, I should have done the same. I pre-ordered June 3 from Amazon and it says I should have it by tomorrow, but it hasn't shipped yet. I have another order placed on Saturday that should be delivered tomorrow which hasn't shipped, either. It's now $37 for the standard edition?! It's sold out at Best Buy now.

I’m still waiting for Zavvi to ship mine. Ordered back on May 8th.

I had my order with amazon since it was announced but they kept changing delivery dates so yesterday morning I checked BB site and it said available for pickup. So ordered that and cancelled Amazon. Apparently my local BB only got 3 copies.

Amazon dropped the price of the two disk limited edition set back down to $46 (Thankfully cause i would never have paid 59.99 for it). My zaavi steel just shipped today but i was curious about some of the extras on the blu ray disk so i said why not and picked up this set as well. Now i can keep that gorgeous steelbook sealed in mint (as long as it arrives mint) condition

Just received my copy from Amazon. I ordered the standard 4K. Was anybody else under the impression that this was going to be a two-disc set that included a Blu-ray of the film? Just curious, excited but slightly disappointed.

No, that's why there are 2 sets, one with 4K and one with blu-ray.

You are right, however the information page on blu-ray.com for the release mentions that there are two discs for this set.

For the limited edition yes. The standard version is just a single 4k disk.

This is the release I was referring to. It was part of the Queen 2011 remaster series done by Bob Ludwig and added a second CD with the B sides of the Flash single release, two live tracks and a demo. Not all that much in terms of extra content but you’d think they would have kept it in print. I had to track this particular one down.

The 5.1 is supposed to be the same as the universal but with tweaks in the lfe channel. I’ll have to get my copy and do some sonic digging.

Mill creek being the distributor might explain why the set is out of stock everywhere. I went to purchase my BD LE set on amazon and it’s out of stock which is seems to be most everywhere. I wondered what had happened.
