Preordered mine from Amazon on April 29th, was saving my Amazon credit card points for something big like this. Tracking said it was arriving today by 8pm and that changed into there is a delay with your order, we'll notify you. So bummed, this set would have really tied the room together.

Mine arrived in a box from amazon but it is quite damaged. Not from shipping but from mishandling. Corner is busted and so is top front seam/edge. Other corners are soft. Front has rub outs where you can see some bare cardboard under the art. Plastic wrap had holes all in it. Looks like it was kicked/dragged across rough ground. Sucks for such a limited product. I suppose it’s better than a few record box sets where amazon put a shipping label on the item and did not box them at all or when they shipped records with cast iron pan.

I've had a few items do that, usually due to an Amazon driver being intelligent enough to forget an item after scanning it. Or decide to ship it to the other side of the state before coming back with it. Just check the tracking to see if it was at least at the local distribution center, if so it'll be the next day.

Arrow Video messaged me this morning and pretty much told me the same thing. They said unfortunately a small number have shipped without maps and they don’t have any spare copies. I messaged them back telling them that I actually was eventually able to find mine. I decided to ask if they think maybe sometime in the future they might be able to print more copies of the map for those who don’t get them. I’m curious what they will say.

Anyways, the map wasn’t a dealbreaker for me either. Though all the same I’m glad I was able to find mine, especially since I pre-ordered this on February 25th. It’s good that Target refunded you $25.

Anyways, I’m planning on doing a classic horror, monster, and science fiction movie marathon tomorrow night. I will for sure include ’Gamera, the Giant Monster’ in Japanese with English subtitles in the marathon. I might also include ‘The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue’ from the Blu-ray from Synapse Films and ‘The Devil Within Her’ from Arrow Video’s Blu-ray. I am also thinking about checking out some classic horror, science fiction and monster movies from the new Peacock streaming service.

It just so happened that I had 5 orders set to be delivered today from Amazon. I received 4. Guess what the 5th was?

Sigh. "On the way, but it's running late." Now I'm on pins and needles. Thanks, Amazon and Arrow. (This is why stuff shouldn't be so f***ing limited!!)

Got mine from DeepDiscount today along with the Flash Gordon disc. Whole side of the shipping box was open. No idea how everything didn't fall out considering the weight of that Gamera set.

So glad mine came in safe today. the kicker it didnt deduct my amazon gift card. I had 90 bucks on it and well set came to 134.00 so I called and they did a number; they refunded me the full amount and just took my 90 dollar gift card to 0. so I aint saying crap. I got blessed. this is a great year.. well for boxsets. We have this, the F13 and the Dawn boxset. IMO this worth at least 200.00 bucks. BTW I forgot how boss Baragon is

im about 3/4 thru my Gamera boxset now. Such an amazing set thus far. im up to Gamera 3, and G The Brave for my last two nights screenings. Just the abundance of different version of the films available, and the audio commentaries are amazing. Watching the original Japanese versions with eng sub is the way togo. I wish they could have included extras from the movie Macabre disc with Elvira clips for Gamera Super Monster worth i just for transforming into the space women outfit Yowza!

The Heisei Gamera Trilogy is still buy far regarded as the best Kaiju films ever made including most of the Godzillas! Finally the turtle Gets some respect Yo!!
Im so glad i didnt wait for regular edition or super sale, this set is worth every penny of the $125 i paid at Frys.

Mine was delivered from Amazon Thursday, packed well, no visible damage, map included.

Of course, I pre-ordered the day Amazon started accepting them, so maybe that helped. It's a shame it's gone so quick. The transfer on the first film is shockingly solid, given that it's a cheap genre film from 55 years shop.
