Now I no longer have to wait and hope Kino will release it. It's been available in HD digitally for the last couple of years.

Wonder if they could also release Come September. I believe that's also a Universal title.

Nothing of interest to me. But it's great to see a mix of different movies be released.
Gives me hope for titles that I would think have no chance of getting a release.

Yes, it's a Universal movie. It will be released in France on February 23 by Elephant Films:

I think they may. If I recall correctly, I think Kino asked for Come September in one of their deals with Universal, but it wasn't available to them, as apparently Universal wanted to release it themselves, likely via their MOD program.

I really hope Arrow other chances for decent quality fall somewhat for Shout (look at the horror Twins ended up being) and to near zero for Mill Creek (look at the utter mess of Sheena and terrible The Freshmen, etc. etc.).

My wife adores "Circle of Friends" and it's not available digitally either, so I was really excited to be able to finally order it for her.

Wow, I LOVE Kissing a Fool! Never thought it would get a proper release. Years ago I imported the German disc from Kotch Media. Quite possibly one of the crummiest blu-rays I’ve ever seen, it was likely from a poorly scanned a dirty release print. In 1080i 50hz with PAL speedup, no pitch correction, and awful audio fidelity to-boot!

Can someone who owns the Field of Dreams 30th Anniversary Blu-ray tell me if it uses the new 4k transfer or the original 2009 Blu-ray transfer?

Looks like a couple of the latest titles are wrongly marked as BD-50 on their jackets when they are actually BD-25 discs.

There is a scan of Ammonite showing that it is actually a BD-25 with a low average bitrate, while I've just got Circle of Friends in and it is also a BD-25 with a BD-50 marking on the case. I will be able to check The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman when it arrives to me shortly, but someone should check That Funny Feeling, Kissing a Fool and especially Prime (which has 5.1 sound and extras) to make sure they are BD-50 if the cases say they are.

Universal specs are wrong a lot of the time.

Movie Zyng says Ammonite is BD-25, I'd think they'd know what they're talking about since they're the ones who are making the discs...

Right, but the actual product claims that the disc is s BD-50:

That Funny Feeling is a BD-25. The back cover says it is a BD-50.

The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman is indeed a BD-50 as indicated, but the feature presentation is single-layered (22.39 GB) so only the extras take it into dual-layered territory (29.50 GB).

I wonder if Universal / Allied Vaughn have changed their encoding practices, because most of their prior MOD discs had high bitrates. With batches of titles like these, where everything is authored without much care, I would prefer BD-50s with higher bitrates to conceal possible compression artifacts that could crop up in a lower bitrate encode (bearing in mind that even high bitrate discs can have compression issues).
