![]() Will just have to postpone my blind-watch for now. It was probably just easier to send out replacement discs than repackage everything, which is understandable. Just a word of warning for others than bought it, you may want to check it before getting into the movie, the title cards apparently offer important context. |

On the topic of barely watchable, ask me several years ago for the definition of that and I'll show you the Kultur DVD of War and Peace. Pan and scan on top of dreadful picture quality. I didn't make it an hour in before I turned it off and forked over $30 for the Rusico DVD, which was apparantly the best version of the movie at the time...
Thankfully we have the blu ray, but I'll never forget the awfulness of that first DVD. |

KL Insider -
In case you missed it, KL received good mention (including links) for your Mae West blu-ray series release in the New York Times article, "Mae West Vamped and Winked. She Also Blazed a Trail We’re Still Following". This article appeared on their homepage on Wednesday, June 30 here and will appear in their print edition on Thursday, July 1 with the title, "Mae West Blazed A Modern Trail". (For KLI: The online version may be behind a paywall. PM me if you need a pdf and I'll see what I can do on Thursday evening.) |

I would love to see just about any pre-Cannon Chuck Norris get a Blu-ray release. I think the only pre-Cannon stuff currently available right now are "An Eye for An Eye", "Silent Rage" and "Breaker! Breaker!". Any of the ones you mentioned would be great, as would "Forced Vengeance", which has never been released on Blu-ray.

It's a good Blu-ray considering the variant nature of the source material.

Coming to DVD and Blu-ray September 28th from Kino Lorber!
Never Gonna Snow Again Directed by Małgorzata Szumowska & Michał Englert On a gray, foggy morning outside a large Polish city, Zhenia (Alec Utgoff), a masseur from the East, enters the lives of the wealthy residents of a gated community. Using hypnotic, almost magical techniques to get a residence permit, he starts working. The well-to-do residents in their cookie-cutter homes seemingly have it all, but they all suffer from an inner sadness, some unexplained longing. The attractive and mysterious newcomer’s hands heal, and Zhenia’s eyes seem to penetrate their souls. To them, his Russian accent sounds like a song from the past, a memory of their seemingly safer childhoods. The latest from writer/director Małgorzata Szumowska (Elles, In the Name Of) and her longtime collaborator Michał Englert is an unclassifiable meditation on class, immigration, and global warming with touches of magical realism and moments of sober beauty and subtle humor. Special features: *Trailer *Optional English Subtitles NeverGonnaSnowAgain_BR.jpg |

Born on the Fourth of July already has a recent 4k scan on streaming services and so I wouldn't be surprised if that could be it. Though I'd rather have Uncle Buck or Parenthood. |
