Now the hard part will be getting the erroneous entry, for the Box Set, that exists on this site removed.

Good Guys Wear Black is my favorite Chuck Norris movie. It would be a day one purchase for me. However, I have a feeling it's with HBO/WB.

In 2014 Gorilla Pictures(??) released it (along with A Force of One) on DVD, distributed via Cinedigm. It seems like they were still with American Cinema Releasing at least in name, but whether Gorilla Pictures owned them outright or licensed them, I couldn't tell you.

I just bought that in the last B2G1 sale. I haven't watched it yet, and now I'm concerned that I wasted my $$.

Announced on Facebook today:

Coming to Blu-ray September 28th from Kino Classics and Universal Pictures!
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923)
Directed by Wallace Worsley
Starring Lon Chaney
The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) is a million-dollar super-production of Victor Hugo’s famous novel, presented in a 4K restoration by Universal Pictures. This epic adaptation recreated the Paris of 1482 complete with its own Notre Dame, and it established Lon Chaney as a monstrously sympathetic superstar. Chaney stars as Quasimodo, the mocked and vilified bell-ringer of Notre Dame who selflessly protects the star-crossed street performer Esmerelda (Patsy Ruth Miller), who is in an ill-fated love affair with the dashing Captain Phoebus (Norman Kerry). Chaney created the legendary makeup himself, and gave a performance of enormous sensitivity and pathos, launching him into Hollywood immortality.
Special Features:
*Audio commentary by film critic Farran Smith Nehme
*Booklet essay by film historian Michael A. Blake
*"Life in Hollywood" newsreel
*Lon Chaney home movie footage
*Music by Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum & Laura Karpman
*Slideshow of production correspondence
*Slideshow of production stills

KL Insider, can you speak to the source of the 4K restoration for Hunchback? Was it the negative, or a “best available film elements” kind of situation?

Technically the OCN would qualify as “best available film elements.”

I take it in this case it’s a given that they used the OCN as this is billed as a “4K restoration”? Is that what you mean?

More OOP based on previously being in the "While Supplies Last" sale and now no longer appearing on the website:

A Child Is Waiting (1963) (BD) (DVD still available)
The January Man (1989) (BD) (Had returned briefly)

Grabbed these 5 in the sale:

Haven't yet got my 4K player yet, but I plan on getting one in a few months, so this title will futureproof me for when I go 4K.
