Default Hopefully this post is an end all

With HDMI, anyone can produce an HDMI cable but quality HDMI cables come from companies that have been certified to produce them, I cannot remember who the entity is that does the certification but could find out. A digital signal is a digital signal no matter what cable you send it through. So the $6 Monoprice HDMI is no different than the $150 Monster HDMI. The only real difference, and what I believe you pay for, is Monsters warranty. Now with analog cables, that is where you will see, and hear, your difference between the superior Monster and any other brand. So buy your cheaper HDMI cables, as long as the company is reputable, but when it comes to analog cables go Monster all the way.
