Default Amazon 3rd party sellers.

Has anybody bought bluray movies from any one of them? they have movies for a lot less than the original price and i wanted to know if anyone had any trouble ordering from them.

I've never had any problems with Amazon 3rd party sellers and I buy used/new Blus from them constantly. Of course, I check feedback first and all that before buying from them.

Now that I think about it, I did have one problem. I bought Hairspray on Blu (for my wife ) and the seller accidentally sent me a pimped out version of it in a locker on DVD with stickers and other weird things, worth about 3 times what the Blu is worth. When I asked to return it for Blu, not only did he ship me the Blu, but he told me to keep the errant DVD shipment as well free of charge. And yes, it really was for my wife.

The only 3rd party sellers I would never use -
lilahs
caiman
inetvideo
The first two ship way too slowly for my tastes and the last one is Canadian but pretends to be American.

I set my baseline as 97% positive feedback and above and have never had a problem with service or the quality of the item.

All of the ones I've bought have been excellent, simply without the security seals.

Dunno what it is lately, but I have had a lot of bad luck with Amazon sellers lately. It all worked out in the end, and Amazon playing backup has helped, but it's been a pain.

1. Ordered a BD. Arrived completely warped and bent as though something really heavy was put on it. Was completely missing Disc 1. Used A-Z guarantee AND seller sent me out the movie.

2. Ordered a BD. No tracking #, poor communication. I had to wait almost a month and the seller refunded me the day before I could do an A-Z guarantee.

3. Ordered a CD. Case is cracked. Seller offered a full refund but there's a long turnaround involved, and all I want is a new case. Still working on the issue.

Bottom line is that the sellers have been communicating well but they ALL are trying to skimp out on packaging. From now on I'll stick with other places or something.

I'm having "issues" with a third-party seller now. I ordered on August 1st and as of today the order is still not marked that it was shipped. I have sent the seller several emails that I wanted to cancel the order, but they have not responded to my emails. I have also contacted Amazon, but I may have to wait until the estimated delivery time passes before I would get a refund.

This seller had a feedback rating of 97% and most of the negative feedback stated that their products never arrived and seller would not answer emails. This is the first third-party seller that I've had a bad experience with. (Is it "unethical" to post the seller's name to warn other would-be buyers?)

No it is NOT, here are my craplisted sellers -
lilacs
inetvideo
caiman
All 3 of them had some issue in getting me my movies in under 2 weeks so I will never be using them again.

I bought several movies from 3rd party sellers and I had no problems. I would just make sure their rating is close to 100%.

I've been using third party sellers for close to three months with no problems. I often find that they ship the same day or the next day, depending on when you order, so they tend to be a lot quicker than Amazon's super saver shipping. I'm not a member of Prime.

I have always had great luck buying from 3rd parties on Amazon. But as previously stated, look at their records and make sure they have a HIGH approval rating.

I have ordered a lot from Amazon marketplace over the past two years. I shy away from sellers below 98%. Some sellers are great and are better than many actual websites, while other sellers are awful and to be avoided at all costs. I go through the last month of feedback and see what the common problems and complaints are listed.

Amazon's FB system is bad, 1 in 15 buyers leave a feedback so its hard to build up a report and most that do always leave a feedback when they are disgruntled.

In my experience it works infinitely better than the feedback systems on Half or Ebay from a buying perspective. I have heard complaints from sellers though.

ebay is worse, the feedback thing is abused and some make it the reason for the transaction

I know this belated but I believe 5 is the limit before they consider you the problem. I have personally seen Amazon deny A-Z claims for too many
