It optimizes the timing of your sound field, as BIslander pointed out above. The auto setup also adjusts the volume of every individual speaker, and obviously distance can be a factor in these settings as well. The farther away a speaker is, the louder it will need to be to match speakers that are closer.
Sometimes the auto setups have a little trouble with subwoofers. You can correct the distance setting for your sub and it won't hurt anything. |
