Or am I just buying it because it is $1.....At this point in my collecting I have over 15,000 titles in my collection between dvd and Blu...I just no longer have room for useless crap...
I've often found myself wondering what people see in the majority of these releases but that's me. I enjoyed Blindspotting, but I ended up watching that online versus buying it because I couldn't find it in store.

I myself do not understand why people are after these titles...many of which have never been heard of before..and many are at dollar tree for a reason. But I think some.."not all" collectors still think that quantity surpasses...quality

just because you never heard of a title doesn't mean it isn't good. i'd certainly rather blind buy for a buck than for higher prices. while you are correct that many titles are junk and there for a reason that isn't always the case. i've picked up a few titles that i was really impressed with after watching. i do a little research before i buy and if the title sounds like something i will enjoy (at least on a basic level) then hey it's a buck. the one thing i won't do is just buy everything because its cheap. that part i agree with you on. i often wonder how guys that have 2-3000 or more titles ever find the time to watch all of that. their money though.

Whether this is bait or not; that chum is too appetizing to resist

There's one of these posts in every wave.

What they all have in common is they all think they're the first to have this thought and they genuinely believe they're making an original and eye-opening observation.

The solution: Don't want something? Don't buy it! The rest of us are free to do as we wish.

The way i look at it is if the movie is crap no big deal. I use the blu case for used movies I buy from Redbox now that Family Video basically bit the dust.

Heck, I just bought Slaxx from Wal*Mart!
The blurb on the bottom of the cover says:
"The best movie about Killer Jeans of all time."

Even though it's most likely the ONLY movie about Killer Jeans, I just had to have it because of that statement...
Also, the Jeaned ass looked nice too.

I now have a movie about Killer:
Jeans
Tire
Vagina
Vehicles

For me, it almost reminds me of the old days of going to the video store and just seeing the wall of horror movies I'd never heard of and basing my decision on an actor I knew or a cool box cover. Yes there's some garbage, but you stumble upon some cool stuff you'd never have found otherwise. Wal-Mart has a similar section of straight to but I'd rather "bet" $1 vs $10.

Anyone who's a collector on here who has collections in the triple digits or above likely has plenty of discs (perhaps some of their all time favorites) your average person has never heard of. Keep in mind we're a niche of a niche of the populace and there's no reason to judge anyone's (subjective) tastes.

I really miss video stores!
I have a small one here in town.
They sell some, but it's a small place and mostly rental and mostly DVD.
There's a few Blu-Ray though.
No 4k though.

It's not the only film about killer Jeans. There's one called Killer Pants, friend I know Directed it and included it on his Anthology film called The Cremation Station.

My sister took me Movie Shopping Today!

We went to 2 out of town Dollar Trees and 1 Big Lots

At the first DT they had a whole lot of boxes all along the bottom shef in electronics.

I got these:

Blu-rays:
Blindspotting (2018) with Slip
Life Itself (2018) with Slip
Red Rage (2019)
Sushi Girl (2012)

DVDs:
A Beatle In Benton Illinois (2005)
The Dick Cavett Show: Inside The Minds Of...Volume 3 (1969-1990)
[Show spoiler]

Disc 1:
Redd Foxx (July 14, 1969)
Dick Gregory (June 5, 1972)
Dick Gregory (August 16, 1990)

Disc 2:
Eddie Murphy (November 4, 1985)
Richard Pryor (December 16, 1985)

Spacepop Takes Off (2016)
Windstorm 3 And The Wild Horses (2017)

Unlisted DVDs:
Blindspotting (2018) Canadian Version
Incredible Mysteries Of The World (2014)
[Show spoiler]

Now I'll be able to find out what these are!
It says over 2 hours on the box so I don't think it'll be the classic docs.
These must be some kind of update episodes or something, it would say over 4 hours if it was the classic docs.

Atlantis - The Lost Continent (????)
Chariots Of The Gods (1970)
The Bermuda Triangle (1979)

Jacob I Have Loved (1989) Bridget Fonda & Jenny Robertson as twins!

The second DT had maybe 12 movies in the electronics section.

I got nothing at that one.

[Show spoiler]If you'd like to know what I got at Big Lots you'll have to check that thread.

I didn't find Night Of the Living Tampon or My Mom's Boyfriend is A Werehorse.
