Here's my take:

1-A New Hope
2-Empire
3-RotS
4-Phantom
5-RotJ
6-Attack of the Cones

Attack was so bad because of Hayden... He killed that whole movie for me.
He was definately worse than Jar Jar (and I don't say that lightly). The scene when Padme is packing and he's complaining about Obi-wan has got to be the worst ever...

Phantom could have been so much more. Leave Jar Jar out, take out Liam Neeson and have Qui-gon be the padawan (as was originally written), and don't kill Maul. He should have been the apprentice in all 3 movies, then died by Annakin in the 3rd....

RotJ should have stuck with the original Wookie idea. Ewoks suck, though not so much as Jar Jar...

My .02

Could someone answer a couple of questions for me quick?

Are the Stormtroopers from Episode 4,5,and 6, clone troopers, or are they just recruits in armor?

Why do the Stormtroopers wear armor that doesnt protect them against anything?

How did Stormtroopers that Kenobi himself praised as accurate shots, turn into keystone kops?

Let me just say this isnt a 1st trilogy vs 2nd trilogy. I love episodes 4 and 5, and Revenge of the Sith is just as good. I just feel cheated that this is how it ends.

what fun would the internet be if everyone just agreed with each other? I prefer chaos. I prefer anarchy. I'm an advocate of planting seeds of discord.

ROTJ is NOT the worst film in the series. Worst in the classic trilogy, but it's at least better than Eps I and II.

Before the prequels were made I agree with the OP--

series............ by far!

Actually I could write an entire book on the prequel series and all of its Inaccuracies! While Jedi may be the weakest of the OT it is far above that crap called the Prequel Trilogy! Get over it folks, the new films are XBOX generation movies with terrible acting, PLOT HOLES a mile wide , a love stroy that convinces nobody...not even a blind man listening would believe those two are in love.

Oh and anyone who does not think Clones is the worst of all the films needs to go back and rewatch them. CLones was a piece of crap of the highest order. I believe all critics gave the turd 2 or 2 1/2 stars. The thing sucked that bad...so much worse than TPM. At least TPM had a great villian (underused) and the pacing of the film was so much more akin to the OT. Take Jar Jar out and you have a really good film.

probably my biggest gripe with the PT. Darth Maul, visually, is by far the coolest villian of the last 10 years. If he were allowed to actually speak, and if his character were fleshed out over the next two movies, I think the PT would have been much, much better for it. But nope. He speaks maybe 2 sentences tops, and gets the axe at the end. Sad face.

imagine if the storyline were altered a bit....Maul kills Qui-Gon, has Obi Wan on the ropes, but is called back by Palpatine for some reason. And the rest of the trilogy now has a side-story of Obi struggling with either killing Maul or bringing him to justice. How awesome would that have been?

1. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (One of the Best Sci-Fi films made, the story is brilliant plus it had one shocker of an ending) 10 / 10
2. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Strong finish, I loved the way Lucas wrapped up the story and the battle scenes are stellar especially Luke vs. Vader lightsaber battle at the end. Ewoks do suck though) 9.0 / 10
3. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (Still sufers from pretty wooden acting and so-so dialogue however the action sequences are exciting and finally we get to see the transformation of Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader) 8.5 / 10
4. Star Wars: A New Hope (It is a classic, the characters are so well established but I do find the movie to be a tad slow.) 8.5 / 10
.
.
. (Giant Gap to show how poor the first two prequels are)
.
.
.
5. Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (The acting is pretty brutal and I really find the story in this film to be the weakest in the series. Even the action sequences are fairly uninspired but I must say Yoda fight with a saber is truly awesome.) 5.5 / 10
6. Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (Seriously what the hell happen with this film! Actually three words tell you Jar Jar Binks I actually think the cast is solid and the acting isn't as bad as AOTC except for Jake Llyod, very annoying but as whole Lucas pretty much just turned everything we loved and mashed it. The force is stuff in your blood WTF! The only saving grace is that it has the best lightsaber battle in all the films. 4.0 / 10

Overall, the Orignal Trilogy

The Prequel Trilogy (for Epi. III)

Why I don't think the OT is better than the PT, I could never call Revenge of the Jedi the worst movie, mainly because it was the first movie I ever saw.

Ummm you can basically make a list just like this for every single movie there is if you really want to break them all down. Why not just sit back and enjoy.

You'd think people on a forum about movies would be able to enjoy movies instead of nitpicking endlessly. Revenge of the Jedi is campy and childish and over the top but you know what? That's why it's so fun to watch.
