I forgot to order one on monoprice and just want to stop by BB and pick up a Dynex....

Also the HDMI out is always going to be my TV correct?

God I am such an audio noob. Thanks.
Usually you just plug your single sub cable into one of the inputs on the sub. Sometimes it doesn't matter which one, and sometimes it's the left one. You'll need to read your manual to find out which way is correct for your particular sub.

Does anyone know if the Energy Speakers can be bought as separates individually to make this a 7.1 setup. I am looking in to picking a set of these up but will be pairing it with a 7.1 receiver.

According to CNET.com, one of the disadvantages of the speakers is that they are not sold separately. I am sure if you look around hard enough (Ebay) you might be able to find individuals, but I could be wrong..

My Pioneer VSX 819H-K does not upconvert analog video at all. Will my PS3 upconvert the analog video for me instead?

It shouldn't matter with the PS3 as you should be using a HDMI cable for that, correct? So the PS3 is already sending a digital signal that won't need to be converted by the receiver at all. When watching an old DVD on the PS3, yes the PS3 will upconvert the video and pass it through the receiver to the TV just fine.

Since it doesn't upconvert analog, this just means that if you have a Wii, Xbox 360, or DVR video signal going through the receiver (via component or composite cable), then to the TV, that those signals will be left as is (not upconverted).

Makes perfect sense. Thanks!

can putting your speakers close to your TV hurt it in any way? I could be wrong but i have heard before that the magnets in the speakers could bow your picture?

Only if you have an old school rear projection tv. If you have an LCD, Plasma, or DLP, you're fine.

another question - it seems everytime i turn my receiver and ps3 ON and switch my TV to HDMI setting, my tv speakers go crazy. They put out this weird interference type sound. I can fix it by getting out of HDMI setting on the tv (i.e. switch to cable) and then go back into HDMI. Anyone have a clue why this is happening??
