Y'all with chain theatres are lucky you get tickets so far in advance lol. My theatre probably won't sell them until the night of.

Do you think there’s a chance this will get delayed due to Omicron? I really hope not - the release is less than a month away now and at this point they must have burned through their entire marketing budget, plus tickets have been on pre-sale since last week.

I’m praying they stick to the date though because at this point I am so damn excited to see this movie and I am terrified it’s going to get pushed back into like the summer or something.

The one I go to in Bismarck doesn't sell them until the Monday before.

Almost certainly in the U.K. imo. The strong rumour is that we will have a circuit breaker lockdown around the 27th or 28th for two weeks. I doubt the studio will risk keeping Scream 5 where it is. The sensible thing would be to move it to late Jan or early Feb.

A few members on the Scream subreddit have said theaters in Canada are shutting down due to the new variant. If most of Canadaian theaters shut their doors, I can see it happening here in the US again.

Even SNL sent everyone home last week, I have a bad feeling we're about to go through another chain reaction of things closing or shutting down, especially with theaters or venues that can accommodate large amounts of people.

I have Paramount+, but I'd rather my Dolby Cinema tickets not be refunded.

It's kind of inevitable. Broadway is already falling apart. Even without Omicron, they were still predicting a rough winter - and now with it, and of course, all the holiday travel/etc. that will be going on over the next week or two, come the second week of January - things are likely to be pretty grim. And sitting in a cement box packed in with strangers for 2+ hours at a time is pretty much the first thing to go in terms of being even remotely "essential".

I've made my peace with not going to the theater to see this, even if they don't close in my area. If they end up offering a legit way to watch it at home, awesome. If not, there are other ways. I'd rather not, but as much as I love Scream, it's just not worth it.

Thought Scream 1 was good in parts only. Liked 2 at the show, but never liked it again after that year closed out - thought the Cici scenes played well.

3 and 4... ouch!

Will see 5 just to see it. Hope it plays well.

Can’t wait for this. I’m anxious for this to release on time and for Halloween Ends to start shooting in January. Hopefully, both will happen.

Reviewers will see this on the 10th. Social Media embargo lifts on the 12th and full reviews on the 14th.
