Yeah, I actually just got two BS cancelations from them with nothing I could do (even after contacting customer service). Both items "Liar, Liar" and "Jack Frost 2" where purchased with gift cards, yet were canceled for a reason of "credit card declined by issuer," after approving several delays each. Best part is I still have $100+ on the card and used it this morning when I was grocery shopping...

But Liar Liar doesn't come out for 3 more weeks, and Jack Frost 2 was just released today, so are you sure you had to approve delays for these items and not some other reason they contacted you? I also preordered Liar Liar, with zero delay notifications yet.

You say this sarcastically, but yeah, enjoy books. It was sad when people thought Amazon was killing bookstores, so if Target sees enough sales in books to upsize their place in the store, good.

I'm completely sure. Here's a screenshot of the cancelation notice. When I chatted with customer service they said they sometimes authorize payments a few weeks before release on preorder, which doesn't sound right but I was fed up at that point. It wasn't worth fighting for something that was honestly the third title to get the cheaper prices... I wanted to fight for 'Jack Frost 2' but was told they sold out of their inventory... Honestly one of the oddest experiences I've had at Target, when normally they are honestly my favorite retailer for preorders...

Ok, your order was canceled over an issue with your funds, not because it’s a delayed preorder. That’s the distinction.

True, as I wrote in my original post I got a few BS cancellations too, although they were a result of something odd and not delayed preorder. I was just posting to say how odd I thought it was they would cancel something for a reason of payment declined, when it was a gift card with a ton of extra funds on it, and weeks before release

I was ordering the Columbia Classics 4K set and it would not apply the 20% off even though it was listed in my cart. I called CS and they said that was only for in store or pickup. I told her it wan’t available in store so she applied the 20% off for me. So $74.80 including tax or about $12+ for each movie.

Nothing I want will ever be available in store, so just give us all the discount already. Jeez. Or just head over to Amazon right now for the price-matched coupon, no CS necessary.

I guess YMMV, but I can't get 20% off of any movie that isn't in-store right now. I'd be curious if it lets you complete the order with the 20% discount + 5% RedCard applied.
EDIT: Oh right, only CS could complete the order for you.
