I liked the original Twilight but thought it moved a bit slow and had a disappointing end. I hope New Moon is better.

One did the first one come out? Last summer? That was fast, I suppose they need to be quick about it to cash in before their fan base turn to something else

Teenage girls don't have standards when it comes to movies. You can squeeze out movies a lot faster when you know you can take a dump on some film, and it will make millions in profit.

It only takes about 6 months or so to crank out a movie.

Of course it depends on the budget and how much you're spending on stuff like Special F/X and the like, {and how far behind in schedule shooting goes}

I resisted watching the first movie, in part because of all the hype surrounding it. In the end my love for vampire movies won out, and I watched it on blu-ray. I was pleasantly surprised.

yep, I really enjoyed it, and I guess a bit to my surprise! Have watched it on blu several times since and I got to say I am looking forward to seeing how New Moon turns out!

I was also surprised I liked it and New Moon looks like it's going to kick even more butt!

Before watching Twilight I hadn't read the books and hadn't heard much about them except that they were immensely popular in the US (and here in Sweden too, to a certain extent), so I wasn't sure what to expect. Unfortunately, I wasn't pleasantly surprised.

To be frank I thought that Twilight was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The plot was lame, the dialogue was embarassing, the acting unconvincing and the special effects just weak... I simply didn't enjoy it on any level whatsoever.

So no, I'm not looking forward to New Moon. But hey, I'm probably not part of the intended audience anyway

Not a New Moon thread...ugh. Twilight is one of the worst films I have ever seen. It is silly and predictable. I wish this whole series would disappear. Vampires shouldn't sparkle.

I agree that they shouldn't sparkle. They really messed up the vampire mythology with this series, but I still thought the first movie was an entertaining teen love story. I'll continue watching the series for that reason. I'll stick with Underworld and other movies like that for the vampire stuff.

Vamps turn to dust in the damn daylight, end of story. So no Twilight crap for me. Twilight is the equivalent to watching an Uwe Boll film, speaking of which, I am getting ready to start a new thread on his new s***ty epic.
