I pre-ordered this re-release from Kino for a late June release. Loving the series even if they are not all exact noirs.

There are quite a few Olive titles that could use audio upgrades but then the same could be said for a few Kino and Shout MGM titles too. Stone Cold, Kinjite and Messenger of Death would be great choices for upgrades.

Oh, wow! SWEET!

Personally, I think this is one of Kino's best Film Noir sets ever! Lady on a Train is a neglected gem and personal favorite of mine; I watch it every December. Nice performances by the entire cast (which includes David Bruce, Edward Everett Horton, Patricia Morison, Elizabeth Patterson and William Frawley) and it's beautifully photographed by Elwood (Woody) Bredell.

Take One False Step has been on my wishlist for years, in part because I want to see how William Powell and Shelley Winters play off one another, but mostly because I'm a huge fan of legendary actress/activist/author Marsha Hunt, who is still living at the age of 104. This was her last big studio film before she was blacklisted by HUAC and relegated to making television appearances, industrial films, and B movies that were beneath her considerable talents. (Film noir maven Eddie Muller did give her one last really great role in his short film, The Grand Inquisitor in 2008, and she played it to the hilt, reminding audiences of what they had been missing during the past 60 years.)

Lady on a Train and Take One False Step are worth the price of the set by themselves. I know next-to-nothing about Tangier, except that it also stars Robert Paige and has a strong supporting cast (Preston Foster, Louise Allbritton, Reginald Denny, Kent Taylor, and J. Edward Bromberg). Surprises are always fun, and I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Hello there, everyone! My Touch Of Evil 4K and 2K Kino Lorber pre-order from December 15th has finally arrived here at The Kitty Cat Condo™ courtesy of the USPS. I also received two titles that were from the last Kino Lorber sale. I feel that these KL Touch Of Evil Blu-rays fit quite nicely along with my other two Blu-ray editions. Sweet!

Hey Kino Lorber, last year you commented that Saigon (1947) was getting a release from Kino in the nearby future. Any updates?

Placed an order on the first day of the sale. "Apporved for packing" that day. Nothing I ordered was out of stock, either. 9 days have passed. Nothing moved yet, and no sweat at all, because I'm used to these Kino sales and have never had any problem in the end. Just be patient.

Really wanted to pack in the new release; Edgar G. Ulmer Sci-Fi Collection, but I've hit my budget for the month with this order. I'll have to grab it in May, along with a couple of other new releases I'm eyeing

Looking forward to Arabesque and Gambit the most....never heard of either but both have solid casts and the trailer(s) sold me on them.

I have to give Kino a big thanks for such a variety of genres to pick from, and the frequency of sales!

My order arrived this (Saturday) morning and I commend the good folks at KL for their speed and accuracy. And I got 5 slipcovers, each of them very groovy, but I won't mention which titles.

I know a lot of bad air gets heaped on collectors of slipcovers...I like them, but they're far from essential, just a nice thing when you get one. As a former (and sometimes still) collector of 45s (the records, not the guns), it was the same story with picture sleeves. A few were essential, but most were nice surprises, not much more. But I certainly understand their collectibility, PS's and slips both, and the sometimes obsessive desire for them.

Yep, I feel the same way, I like slips just fine when I get them, but it’s not a big deal if I don’t, and I certainly don’t pay extra for them.

Have people been ordering their Man on the Moon blu-ray, y'all think?

I've been pondering on taking advantage of the sale to get a copy with the slip, but I realized they took down the cover image with it today and replaced it with a different one that just has the standard br case.

Unfortunately the new set is missing Phantom of Chinatown, which was probably omitted since it didn't star Karloff. I still would have liked it to be included to have a complete Mr. Wong set.
