No.
That means I don't have to anxiously hope for a decent HALLELUJAH TRAIL right away.

If they managed to get Terminator then that would be a huge get.

I would like to see KLSC get a crack at Something Wild (1986) for a UHD upgrade. The Criterion blu-ray is unusually sparse in the extras for a Jonathan Demme film.

Forget about Terminator. James Cameron is holding his legacy stuff hostage while he goes slowly insane with Avatar sequels. I don't even think the KLI has ever said "It's with another label" concerning Terminator. Maybe he has, dunno.Thankfully the film has received at least one good physical media release on Blu-ray so it's not like we're agonizing over something like The Abyss or True Lies not making it to HD.

Are you saying this bit isn't relevant to the question you asked? Whether the KL Insider meant scan or restoration is irrelevant. At the very least Robocop had an HDR pass done. It would make the HD master different.

Every time I see an new MGM deal my hope is for a Raging Bull 4K.

Two new UHDs, one from the 80s, one of which was previously released by MGM.

Now someone come in and crush my spirit.

Well...

The Insider did say that the two titles in question were released on Blu by other labels, so that would appear to suggest Raging Bull is not in this deal.

Red Sonja would be amazing news, but it's with Warner Brothers. Pretty insane it doesn't even have a Blu-ray in the US.

Hello KL Insider. Are there any "coming of age" movies, particularly from the 1990's, in your new MGM deal?

Looks like StudioCanal is releasing Dr. Who and the Daleks on UHD in France...wonder if there's any hope for a Kino upgrade of this and the sequel?

I wouldn't be surprised if VS had Leviathan. For October they're promising 'two UHD debuts of a duo of 80s creature horror classics', and since they're probably MGM titles, I'd say Leviathan has a decent chance.

They said no more Criterion grabs, so Moonstruck is… struck out.

Nice to see VS go more mainstream with their 4K titles over the mostly junk they release.

StudioCanal is releasing Dr. Who and The Daleks on 4K in France so...that's another guess.

https://twitter.com/dawnofthediscs/s...56153683910672

A remastered Blu-ray copy with the 4K transfer, complete audio by Mark Ayres, and extras (including the original DVD commentary and the US trailer) would be worth the purcahse from me alone.
