The UFO Incident (1975)
• Brand New 2K Master
• NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian/Screenwriter Gary Gerani
ROMANTIC MYSTICISM: THE MUSIC OF BILLY GOLDENBERG – NEW Feature-Length Documentary by Gary Gerani
• Limited Edition O-Card Slipcase
• Optional English Subtitles

Color 92 Minutes 1.33:1 Not Rated
James Earl Jones (The Great White Hope) and Estelle Parsons (Don’t Drink the Water) star as Barney and Betty Hill, husband-and-wife survivors of an alien abduction, in this engrossing look at one of the most controversial and carefully documented cases of an extraterrestrial encounter in U.S. history. The Hills claim that, on the 19th of September, 1961, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, they were taken aboard a saucer-like spacecraft and examined medically by mysterious humanoid beings with grayish skin. The UFO Incident describes with fascinating detail the couple’s crippling anxiety and nightmarish visions following the experience, during which they both suffered from amnesia. Directed by Richard A. Colla (Fuzz, Battlestar Galactica), this strange-but-true story is based on The Interrupted Journey, John G. Fuller’s bestselling account of the actual testimony made by the Hills while under hypnosis.

Kino Insider - Of the 12 new-to-Blu 80s titles in the MGM deal, can you reveal how many of them are Cannon titles?

Also, are any of the new-to-Blu 60s titles AIP? Many thanks.

#'s 2 and 3 make me very happy!

I'm hoping for 3d it's Bwana Devil! I'd love to see the first golden age 3d title released.

For # 3 I'd die of happiness if it was Enemy Territory as I've wanted that one to get cleared for a long time.

I always struggle to find Bob Furmanek's posts breaking down which studio owns which classic 50s and 80s 3D films. Anyone know the MGM owned possibilities?

The MGM owned 3D titles that have not yet been released are

Bwana Devil 1952
Southwest Passage (what remains of it)

I, The Jury (1953) not sure they own it as Bob previously said that it had a different rights owner.

Starchaser Legend of Orion ( can't be this one as they said no animation)

I doubt they would re-release Amityville 3d again...but who knows.

So Bwana Devil is the most likely, but not 100% guaranteed. Exciting none-the-less!

Most Blu-ray restorations, like the one Arrow did for BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA or the one we did for THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR were delivered as HD pro res files, not SDR and of course not HDR. So if one decides to release these from UHD, they would need to start from scratch or at least go back to the original raw 4K scans.

If horror, I think the 50s title only be either Voodoo Island or Pharaoh's Curse.

If sci-fi, maybe Red Planet Mars? I'd say something like Voodoo Island is more likely though.

KL Insider,

Are any of the 1950s films in the new MGM deal new to disc or have all been previously released on disc? Thanks again.

I would be surprised if they ended up licensing this one. They had offered the Blu-ray rights a few years ago, but that was after they had released a dozen different versions on BD.
