Then I believe all fans of comedies should try it. They will be very surprised at how great this movie really is!

Here's the list from best seller to worst, with street dates in prentices:

The Ghost Breakers (9/15/20)
The Cat and the Canary (9/15/20)
Son of Paleface (7/5/17)
Road to Morocco (3/26/19)
Road to Bali (7/5/17)
Road to Rio (7/5/17)
The Lemon Drop Kid (7/5/17)
Road to Utopia (3/26/19)
Road to Zanzibar (3/26/19)
The Paleface (7/14/20)
Road to Singapore (3/26/19)
My Favorite Brunette (7/5/17)
Monsieur Beaucaire (2/1/22)
Where There’s Life (2/1/22)
My Favorite Blonde (3/2/21)
Nothing But the Truth (3/2/21)
Alias Jesse James (7/27/21)
Caught in the Draft (3/2/21)
Paris Holiday (12/19/17)

The ones we acquired from Fremantle were released in 2017, three to five years before the Universal ones and the one MGM. I'm a little surprised to see My Favorite Blonde so low on the list, but the others are where we thought they would be.

Kino Insider - You mentioned before that you thought one of the 50s MGM titles was released on a Shout 4-pack, but then suggested you may have been mistaken on that. If so, would that mean there are in fact no titles formerly released on DVD by Shout in the deal? Thanks.

That's a shame. I was holding out Hope for Fancy Pants, a remake of Ruggles of Red Gap co-starring Lucille Ball that's my favorite non-Road Hope film, but I guess that will never happen with those figures.

Fancy Pants is owned by Paramount so it won't be coming from Kino if it is released. I'm a big fan of it too. It's available in HD digitally.

I don't see one, except for the one I thought they had released. I know it was under license to them for a while, maybe they never released it?

Kino Insider - Can you say what genre (drama, action, comedy etc) the 80s Cannon title that had a former clearance issue is for this and the 60s title that was never on disc except BL's?

All true, and remember, this was back in the 90's when standard cable channels like FX or whatever couldn't show nudity, gore, and language, etc. That stuff was mostly only allowed on the pay-premium services like HBO and Showtime. Thus, the Showtime versions had stuff in them that couldn't be shown anywhere else back then UNLESS they created the syndicated versions to show on any channel, even regular tv. So all that was cut was any nudity, violence, and curse words. There were no rights issues with the cutting, just to make all the episodes basically G rated so it could play on any channel then.

MGM, after releasing 6 "best of" DVD's containing all uncut episodes from various seasons, they then did release a box set of only Season 1 on DVD, all episodes uncut. It probably didn't sell enough for a major studio back then, so they stopped there. For some reason, when Canada licensed the show, they accidentally got the syndicated ones..

In any event, I can't imagine MGM doesn't have the uncut episodes for all 7 seasons, especially since they released season 1 uncut, as well as 36 uncut episodes from various seasons that were on those 6 compilation DVD's.

Most likely, they just sent the wrong masters to Canada. I do think getting these uncut, even on DVD, would be a windfall release. There are many fans of it, that have held off for years like me, as they simply don't want cut shows.

PS: the original THE OUTER LIMITS is one of my favorite shows of all time, and yes, the Showtime one can't beat it, but it's a shame the 90's one hasn't ever been presented fully and properly on physical, outside of season 1 and those other random compilation episodes that MGM themselves released in the US. Being a huge fan of the 60's version, I signed up for Showtime back then JUST to see the 90's version for the 6 seasons it was on there, then canceled Showtime right after it was done there. And yes, having nudity and violence and stuff you couldn't see on channels other than premium ones you pay extra for, was very cool. The syndicated ones are like watching an R-rated movie edited for network tv.

Presumably this is the 50s sci-fi/horror title you mentioned? That said, you didn't specify the number, so perhaps there are a couple.

I think when Alliance released the DVD's in Canada they only had access to the edited versions from seasons 3-6 (the first two seasons minus one episode and the last season were released by them unedited.) I would buy a DVD only release of the complete uncut versions of the series since i imagine it wouldn't look great on Blu-Ray.

Yes. Hulu had most of the show uncensored except for two season 4 episodes and the finale of season 6. All three of those episodes were uncut on Amazon Prime.

Apparently, Amazon hasn't yet received DEMENTIA/DAUGHTER OF HORROR. The same is true of a local brick-and-mortar store.

Basic cable channels have always been able to air whatever the hell they want. Stations like E! used to be fairly risqué back when they initially debuted. The challenge is to do that and still retain advertisers

There's a guy that I would describe admiringly as the most obsessed with tracking the uncut eps down of anybody I've seen on-line, he cites the two season 4 eps "Mary 25" and "Lithia", but also has a few specific other episodes from other seasons (202, 304). But I might've been wrong, I thought Amazon had some cuts in other episodes but they might all be intact there, I think the issue was that they didn't/don't have every episode.

Actually yes. Season 3, episode 4 i think might had some nudity cut too. The interesting thing though is that it doesn't have the commercial fade outs that the other edited episodes have which is why i thought it was uncensored.

Edit: iTunes and Internet archive have the uncut version of the episode.
