I realize how sensitive this topic is. I am thinking of selling my Samsung 750 and getting a Panasonic g10. It's basically an even swap as far as price. I can sell for almost as much as what the G10 costs online. I had a plasma before I got my Samsung and didn't care for PQ however from everything I read on this site and others, plasmas have improved. Have read good reviews on G10. I guess basically what I am asking is has anyone swapped technology? I see how these plasma vs lcd debates get so heated. But usually Plasma folks have always had plasma and lcd folks had lcds. Need to see if someone has changed and do they regret it and wish they would have kept lcd. Also do you eventually get use to the brightness of plasmas being less than lcd. Don't want to start another VS war just need some advice.

These sites can mess with your head and make you doubt your purchase. The main question you need to ask yourself is: Are you happy with your current set?
If the question is Yes, don't trade it in. The most important thing is how you feel about your set, not how anyone else feels about (cept maybe your wife and kids!). A lot of people around these parts have a lot of technical knowledge and can dazzle you with their calibration knowhow. But all that techno mumbo jumbo counts for very little when it comes to your own satisfaction, sitting on your own couch watching your own tv. Trust your eyes first and foremost. If you aren't satisfied with you tv then sure, go check out the new Panasonic Plasmas. They're supposed to be quite nice. But if you personally don't like the look of Plasma, don't worry about plasma. Just find the set you like the best and go from there. |
