I don't remember that previously being announced.
Unless it's just another one of those senior moments I'm having, that are becoming more and more frequent.

In any case, great to hear it (again)!

Kino Lorber Insider,

Speaking of this, in general, is there any chance you think of KLSC licensing some titles from Shout? I know they've licensed to Criterion, Code Red, Scorpion...and they have a bunch of titles they don't seem interested in doing anything with from their various libraries (Westchester Films, Tomorrow, etc.)?

A couple of general points:

- The remaining 60s title is new to disc.

- There will be 5 more film noir sets (so 15 titles - 2 40s, 13 50s). In terms of other titles, this leaves 1 40s (1942) and 2 50s (1953 and 1957).
I'm always excited (and grateful) to see Kino release another Jeff Chandler film...but the post above says RAW WIND IN EDEN (1958) was announced. I don't see a release date on the site yet. I always thought a title wasn't officially announced until a date, special features and tech specs are confirmed. Can someone clarify? Thanks.

We licensed The Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith from Shout and later on tried to license a few more, but they declined, I guess they consider us more in competition with them than the others you mentioned.

They also turned down Scorpion the last time around, after we started distributing some of the titles for them (The Tamarind Seed, Inside Moves, The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea & others). Walt Olsen had announced Russian Roulette (1975), but deal was canceled after his announcement.

Would love to have that 1957 title be Mister Cory...unless the clues have already ruled that one out?

Kino operate a little differently to other labels. Raw Wind in Eden was announced a few weeks back. I imagine a date, art and specs will follow over the next few months.

The one I want them to license out the most...

They care so little for the film that they only released it on an MST3K Dvd and even then they cut something like 20 minutes off of it. Every minute of this film is a riot in my opinion. I would kill for a Kino release.

Cops and Robbers is kind of a cult classic with the great Cliff Gorman, based on a Donald E. Westlake novel. And War co-stars the great Jack Lemmon and Jason Robards. Both were bigger films and two of the worst selling titles we've ever released.
sorry I asked...

I have a question about Kino’s SECRET CEREMONY release. The vast majority of the running time after the first reel has the picture “bouncing”, shifting up and down rapidly. It is only a few pixels but it is incredibly distracting.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Cops and Robbers also features and 'introducing Joe Spinell' credit. I first saw it on TV in the 80s and thought it was great.

If you post in all-caps, it gets automatically de-capsed. Since the emoji was the only part of the post, with no text, it hit the all-caps filter.

Yes, GIRLS TOWN (1959) is a delirious delight from start to finish. It has only been released on VHS in its full-length version. To add insult to injury, that Republic VHS release was in the crappy SLP (6 hour) mode.

...in the short term.

The limited edition strategy badly damaged the comic book industry decades ago (and sports cards before that).

In light of the release of the 2 Oland Fu Manchu movies on bluray, the third film in the trilogy, The Daughter of the Dragon (1931), is going to be shown on TCM on May 12 so those who have access might want to record it to watch later when the first 2 films are released physically.
