When is Kino going to release more LGBT films on Blu-ray?

I think the last one was Playdurizm in December of last year.

Kino Lorber Insider,

KLSC has been putting out a number of made-for-TV films as of late. Is there any chance of licensing some from HBO, particularly The Guardian (1984) with Martin Sheen and Louis Gossett Jr.?

Since these HBO films now appear to be the property of Warner Bros, I'd say it's extremely unlikely sadly.

Anyone know if Kino replaces slipcovers that arrived damaged? I'm usually not too picky, but Mr. Majestyk arrived with a crushed corner, which I can live with, but Busting has a slit or fold mark down the front of the cover which is a little annoying. I know Severin's policy is you get what you get, but not sure where Kino stands with them.

Included picture below. Lighting covers it up a little in the picture but in person it's pretty noticeable in person and goes across the whole cover.

Sounds like the Universal titles are almost done, so I'm assuming another deal might be in the works. I do hope Nurse Betty makes the cut this time, as I've been wanting to rewatch that after the Chris Rock slap as I remember it being one of his best performances.

Now that the 1953 film in the Uni deal has been confirmed to be a western, it seems the 1957 standalone release will be a comedy (it was confirmed a short while ago that the standalone releases from the 1950s would be 1 western (The Mississippi Gambler) and 1 comedy. Looking at the options, it would seem to likely be 1 of these 4 films:

My Man Godfrey, directed by Henry Koster and starring June Allyson, David Niven, Martha Hyer, Jessie Royce Landis, and Eva Gabor. (this is the only one of the options previously released on DVD in the U.S.)

Kelly And Me, directed by Robert Z. Leonard and starring Van Johnson, Piper Laurie, and Martha Hyer.

Joe Butterfly, directed by Jesse Hibbs and starring Audie Murphy, George Nader, Keenan Wynn, John Agar, and Burgess Meredith (this seemingly had a U.K. DVD release).

Slim Carter, directed by Richard Bartlett and starring Jock Mahoney and Julie Adams.
