When they launched Disney+ they pretty much preferred Quantity over Quality.
WDAS and Pixar are two very different studios. Each have considerable merits, with WDAS leaning more heavily on mass-appeal crowd-pleasers and Pixar more thoughtful and sometimes more poetic. I never confuse the two, even if they're both under the same corporate banner. The "last five years" demarcation is fair for WDAS, since that's the cut-off date for Zootopia and Moana. But Pixar in that same five years gave us Coco and (personal favorite) Soul. I'll forgive Pixar an occasional misfire like Onward, I'll grind my teeth through something as shallow as WDAS' Frozen. Harmless, really. It's not like other studios aren't there to fill the void (Sony's Into the Spider-Verse is the most electric animated feature I've seen in years).

Bad Guys and Northman now on digital. This is why I'm going to skip smaller Universal movies in theatres from now on until they stop doing that.

Waiting to see movies on streaming almost guarantees more movies go to streaming.

For new releases, just get the physical releases with the digital codes. Better on the wallet, even if you have to wait a bit longer. No reason to skip films in theaters you want to see because a studio made an offer for a digital version...nobody's forcing people to accept the offer. I'd love to see The Northman, but I can wait. Physical releases always for me when I can.
