Back on topic, is the Harry Styles vinyl a new full album? Didn't know he had anything new coming out.
Yes, it comes out on Friday

Well, if they did B2G1 sale that would help their profits. I have a couple hundred dolls worth of movies ready to go...and I am sure i'm not the only one.

I'd throw in about $70, but they can wait until Eurotrip unrated comes out next month as far as I'm concerned :P

How much profit would you think Target makes on a $100 B2G1 Order?

Don't know either, but it would seem that even with the unlikely profit margin of even 5% isn't going to make much of a difference to the bottom line in a 100B company whose net income was north of 6B last year on 100B sales

I actually would love to know how much they sell during a B2G1 sale, but if it's more than low 6 digits I'd be shocked.

I wouldn't want to know how much they made as much as how much they got rid of-Blu-rays, 4K's etc

Even if the profit margin was small but a lot of people cleared their inventory of items drastically then I suppose it would save them 20 to 25% of their stock value since slow moving inventory is one of the major problems in their earnings report.

With the kind of overhead businesses have in this country? They couldn't stay in operation with only 5% markup on ANYTHING that isn't doing HUGE volume sells. I'd be shocked if they didn't make more than that even on BF. At 5% markup the media section would have disappeared years ago. Maybe the head offices get only a 5% kickback. But no store can pay it's salaries, benefits, much less their lease on that kind of profit margin, especially your big chains that have regulations enforced much more strictly. I don't know what markup is on movies. But movie, music, and game media are often classified as a sub-section of electronics. Most electronics are pulling at least 50% markup, many 100%. And of course, target doesn't have sales people with the authority to haggle, like all the mom-and-pops and regional chains once did that big box retail has put out of business via pricematching. Even if you know a manager willing to barter, the head offices rarely reveal dealer price to the franchises. If they offer that kind of intel, it's often already been adjusted to account for corporate's cut. Of course, there's never been bartering with media, outside of mom-and-pop stores that didn't have to worry about breaking MAP. But those stores are pretty much long gone.
