Thank you both, I’ll be looking more into those. Too bad Hickey and Boggs appears to be OOP.

Below is a list that loosely fit your criteria that I really like:

Busting
Cops and Robbers
I, The Jury
The Laughing Policeman
Madigan
Newman's Law
PJ
The Black Marble
Report to the Commissioner (OOP, great film worth tracking down)
The Silent Partner (not a cop film, but gritty 70s crime film)
Across 110th Street (OOP, but great film that just got a new release from Imprint)

Great list, I second all the recommendations, lots of solid films here, PJ may be my pick of the bunch, but I enjoyed all of these quite a bit

I included some movies on my list below that weren't straight cop thrillers but were more crime thrillers instead. "Bullitt" was a very good pick on your part. I like "The Stone Killer", as I'm a Bronson fan but some people don't like it.

Non-Kino movies:
"The French Connection" (probably should be near the top of your list)
"Sharky's Machine" (not as gritty as Dirty Harry and cheesier but I enjoy it)
"Heat" (90s crime movie but I really like this one)
"48 Hrs"

Kino movies:
"The Laughing Policeman"
"Across 110th Street"
"Charley Varrick" (not a cop movie but a crime thriller)
"The Taking of Pelham One Two Three" (also not a cop movie but a crime thriller)

Did they say they have some Republic Pictures in their Paramount deal? Maybe Kino is the one doing Invisible Maniac?

Thanks. I have Sharky’s Machine just haven’t seen it yet. French Connection, Heat, Taking of Pelham 123 & 48 hrs I have seen. Bullitt & The Stone Liller we’re both blind buys for me based on the trailers.

Say, has there been many KL releases that have gone OOP, yet have come back into print at some point?

Good list and also, yeah Charley Varrick isn't a cop movie, but two great leads from that era and just a fun movie.

I would recommend Aldrich's Hustle – though as far as I am aware, it is still not released on Blu-ray.

Yes, both went out of print and were rereleased as a set.

Similarly with these two sequels which went out of print and then were rereleased with these collections.

Yes, reissued as a double feature with F/X2.

The first Film Noir: The Dark Side of Cinema box set went out of print and is being reissued next month.

A bunch of Code Red/Scorpion limited runs have been reissued this year if I remember correctly.

I'm sure I'm missing others but it's not very frequent, especially compared to the total number of titles KLSC releases. The titles most recently added to WSL would be likely candidates if their rightsholders permitted it: KLI has said that Dan Curtis TV movies all sold well, but Disney would not permit them to renew, and the Bava titles are going out of print because the new rightsholder is asking too much to renew. But (from an outsider's perspective) it is unusual for KL to choose not to renew a license and then go back and reacquire it for a release in the same format.

Haven't seen Hickey & Boggs but the other two are a lot of fun.

Laughing Policeman features Walter Matthau in a great role with tons of location shooting in San Francisco, really brings you back to another time. It's a Fox title so who knows how much longer it will be out there.

Busting is another great one of the era - here's one of the film's best scenes, if you want to peek.

Robert Cummings and Dorothy Malone are not big enough stars, we've released films by both, but always co-starring bigger actors.
