One of my tv's is the sammy LN52A750
BAsically the same as yhe OP wants for this year--

I researched for MONTHS and was in store viewing and comparing reviews on the top AV forums with ppl who live and breathe HT... And i chose the sammy LCD.. WHy??

Whiter whites ( by far )

Black levels were near the same, SOmetimes my 750 actually looked darker ESPECIALLY in light..

Much more vivid color , with not a drop of saturation

NO motion blur

READ the REVIEWS.. do you know how many people rated this as the 3rd best PQ TV ( plasma OR LCD ) Number one being The 50" Kuro.. #2 being the 55" sammy series 9 ( 950 )

So really.. the OP needs to look for himself.. You telling him a panny plasma is gonna "smoke " this samsung is Bias and ignorant ..

But hey OP.. If you want something that sucks in the light, has urine whites and is not as detailed in any way.. go with the panasonic
+1 , everyone who owns a Kuro or a plasma think their the best thing since sliced bread...funny thats what I think about my A950.

To the OP, you won't be dissappointed with that Sammy.
