No, that was someone saying they wouldn't buy a movie that has a slip if they couldn't get the slip. They also said for releases that had never had slips, they were fine with that.

My point was that if future titles gave up the o-card game, it wouldn't change sales. Limited bits like this don't change total sales, just week one's sales. And while I understand the value of that for a label, in that they can see a return on their costs quickly, instead of hoping to break even over years of clearing backstock of a title, overall it's risky for the industry. There are numerous examples of this over the decades (sports cards, comics, TCGs, etc).

Insider, have you heard anything new about the cost of a DYNAMITE 4K transfer?

I remember the days when only women were concerned about slips.

For me the slip gives it artistic/visual/shelf value, and it makes the case stand on its own as opposed to having the same look as Kino's previously released GBU.
I've never been a fan of all the spines looking the same, but now that I have both versions of A Bill of Divorcement it's actually a genuine issue.

Universal sells it in a $3 DVD 8-movie pack with some gems such as The Matinee, King Ralph, and... Ed, among others. Ed would have been the cursed film in any other movie set.

Mata Hari (1985)
• NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historians David Del Valle and Nate Bell
• Image Gallery
• Theatrical Trailer
• Limited Edition O-Card Slipcase
• Optional English Subtitles

Color 108 Minutes 1.85:1 Rated R
From cult filmmaker Curtis Harrington (Night Tide, Queen of Blood, Whoever Slew Auntie Roo?) and producers Golan-Globus (Runaway Train, Maria's Lovers) comes this torrid tale of deception, desire…and double agents. Dutch goddess Sylvia Kristel (Emmanuelle Trilogy, The Nude Bomb) is the ultimate spy-vamp, Mata Hari. There has been no name more notorious, no eye more lethal, in the history of international seductresses. The daughter of a sacred dancer, Mata Hari tours the capitals of Europe with her hypnotically profane version of Java’s ritualistic choreography. It is her destiny to beguile men and women alike, in an era when the shadow of World War I endangers every liaison. When she takes as lovers two former friends, a German and a Frenchman, now enemies by the war, she becomes a pawn in their deadly cat-and-mouse intrigues. From the Folies Bergère in Paris to the sinister Fraulein Doktor’s office in Berlin to an orgiastic party in Madrid, Mata Hari weaves her spell between enemy camps and between satin sheets leaving behind her broken hearts…and lifeless bodies. The stellar cast include Oliver Tobias (The Stud, Arabian Adventure), Christopher Cazenove (Heat and Dust, Aces: Iron Eagle III), Gottfried John (Goldeneye, The Ogre) and Vernon Dobtcheff (The Day of the Jackal, Jude).

Can you give any info about the transfer, where it comes from, when it was done? I have the Italian Pulp Video blu from 2014. Is the KL the same transfer?

Interesting, I hadn't heard of this movie. I've recently been watching the 1997 Showtime Anthology series "The Hunger" and there is an episode with the same title that has a very similar plot. Based on the same original story, it turns out.

Seeing this one coming up reminded me of another Madchen Amick movie I've been waiting for a blu of - Dreamlover (1993) - wish someone could put out the unrated video version.

That's true for both versions of Inherit the Wind also.
I put them in different colored cases (clear, black).

I’m Dangerous Tonight is one of the better examples of TV horror. It’s Cinderella through the eyes of Tobe Hooper, and I’d hope that’s a good enough pitch as it is.

Thanks for this link MifuneFan. I snagged a few great deals yesterday including Touch of Evil 4K for $16.00 and Film Noir VII for $12.92! I'll keep an eye on this storefront, which as you noted seems to carry exclusively Kino-distributed products.

I keep almost getting The Truman Show 4K digitally as my first Vudu purchase... But, someone has to release it in 4K physically... I hope it's Kino Lorber! That movie deserves the best release possible.
