Thinking about it I also collected the original releases which were (I believe) HMV exclusives, they came in a metallic case with a bonus disc each time which didn't contain any extras from the film but ranged from soundtrack samples to Star Trek PC game demos.

Looking over the contents on Memory Alpha, it looks like basically all of it has been carried forward.

That's why I want the VHS boxset. The red one but I don't have the space (Ha!) or the extra $50.

I started "watching" this one and the seller already offered me a deal for $35

Khan is steadily dropping in price on Amazon, $19.99 now. Nothing of the others yet.

I was living in England in the early 2000s and picked up all 10 films in 2-disc DVD special editions as they had beautiful slipcovers (as seen below). I'm still holding onto them for the packaging alone, they were beautifully done.

This is off topic but original Star Trek film related. The Star Trek Lower Decks Season 3 poster dropped and it's a homage to a famous Star Trek film poster.

https://screenrant.com/star-trek-low...-release-2022/

I know many Trek fans don't like Lower Decks but I just thought this was fun.

Why does new Star Trek constantly reference old Star Trek?

Why does new Star Wars constantly reference old Star Wars? Why does new testament constantly reference old testament?

It's just a gag the show has done every season. The Season 1 poster was an homage to TMP, the Season 2 poster was an homage to Khan, etc.

FWIW, my Bullmoose preorders all snapped back to the 9/6/22 release dates, so I guess the “delay” was just a glitch.

IV also just dropped. I guess they’re just being slow and it’ll be a few hours until they’re all 19.99

Could it be because Star Trek 2 everybody already has as part of their four movie set and that Star Trek 5 is considered to be the lowest quality movie?
Here's why: Trek II has already been released singularly in a 4K transfer, the market has been punched a bit. And Trek V will probably be one of the weakest sellers of the lot, most retailers know this.

I would guess that someone had them match Best Buy on those two and no one had them match the others yet. Amazon won't lower the price on their own. And for some reason, Best Buy doesn't even list TMP or Undiscovered Country yet. Just spitballing here.

I just noticed that the Star Trek 4 film 4k set was released twice. Was there a difference between the 2 ? I’m not sure which one I have

I think the first one was two separate cases, one for the films on UHD and one for BD. The second release is all the discs in one jumbo case. Or vice versa, I never bought it.

Any word on if this is the 6 cases in a box or a fold out like the last one? Don't judge me poster art covers are my one packaging desire.
