In 1995, a boy named Andy got a Buzz Lightyear toy for his birthday.

It was from his favorite movie.

This is that movie.

What's worse than a self-indulgent statement? One that actually ruins the whole immersion before the film even properly begins. The more I think of this film existing in the Toy Story Universe, the less everything makes sense.
Besides the main problem I have with the text being that I don't think the movie holds up to the statement...

... the text crawl comes after the Disney and Pixar studio logos!

It should come before it. Now it's officially "part of the movie" rather than something to tell us before what he watched. In my mind it makes it seem like Andy then also saw this text crawl.

If we had to have it, it would've been cooler if it appeared before with no music behind it, and all on the same screen (rather than having each line fade out before the next one). It's a small edit, but it goes a long way when it comes to any immersion they still wanted to maintain.
