I did a Fire Inspection at a Dollar Tree today and got these, both Blu-ray:

Metsfan and Mcrmy have been our ears inside for over a year. I don't know how anyone can call them liars if they've been lurking/posting in this thread for a while. And anyone who's been hunting for years should know how DTs operate. Most employees don't give a shit about what comes in and they're not gonna go out of their way to search it out for you.

4 boxes of movies have come in.
New stuff. A lot of the BBC.














They were listed as September 2022 DVD/Bluray but once you go to the register, they ring as July 2022.

Not only that but, they were ringing up as a $1 not the $1.25.
YMMV.

I'm not seeing much in there, but I would pick up Corporate Animals if I find it in the wild. I already own it, but Ask Me Anything was an excellent movie. I recommend that if anyone finds it.

They are all labeled Week 26, which would have been end of June. I wonder if they been sitting around because of supply chain issues? Looks like some new animation Wonder Woman, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, and some newer WB blu's A Star is Born, It, and Godzilla King of Monsters (Mexico).

If you do a Dollar General you won't even have to go out of your way to look for movies. I've been to some stores where the spinner displays are up against the back exit doors lol.

I have done inspections for Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and a few Rite Aids. I don't go to to them that often but I always check if l have time. We don't have a contract with DG as fat as l know. Sometimes I hit a Dollar General on the way home, that's the only way I can go to one as I don't have any close to my house.

Is it safe to assume that finding movies (BDs specifically) in any Dollar Tree is total luck of the draw? I'm guessing there's no magical list out there that gives some insight into which stores to check? I ask because, being in a larger metro area, there are a LOT of Dollar Trees I could hit, but the handful I've checked out thus far have all been busts (either no movies or at all or just DVDs I don't want). I now feel very lucky that I stopped into a DT in small-town Missouri a few weeks ago and found ten BDs I wanted! I'd love to be able to recreate that closer to home.

100% luck. I find different movies at each store and the good titles are usually only 1 or 2 copies, if it even comes to your area.

What this poster said. At this point, seeing what others get is pretty much zero indication any of your stores will have it.

Yeah, DT has definitely changed over the last year. It truly is “first come, first score” nowadays. Of course it was like this before, but most stores stuck to the release date, so you had a good chance of finding stuff because you could head out Friday and Saturday.

The last few Waves have been YMMV. I was really surprised to find plenty of blus this last Wave, but I had to hop around different stores to find them. And the blu selection is really low too.

I checked a store by work this morning and while they had some unopened boxes, they weren't from the new shipment (it was older stuff they were just getting around to putting out since they are sort of flooded with old stock).

I did find and grab one Olive DVD I hadn't seen before:

Two stores both got four boxes in. One box were kids titles and another MGM box. These were the variety boxes.
