I bought this movie today... and I have to say I love it. Well I saw it 3 times at the theater with different people though...

Likes: it was very interesting from beginning to end. Great PQ & AQ
Dislikes: would have liked it to be more "christian-like" how the "rapture" would actually be
Plot questions?: none

It was A vary good movie . Good original storyline , witch is something not seen to often anymore ! The sound track kicked A$$ when stuff was happening . The train in the tunnel crashing I turned it up even more !
I will watch again in the next few days !!

Excellent... do you think its a movie trying to tell a tale based on religious writings?

or

A movie about aliens, and then stories told about said aliens that progressed through our history?

I love it, gorgeous woman at the center of it, stunning CGI and special effects and a rocking soundtrack and audio track. Can't really ask for much more!

Just finished.

Great PQ!

I remember in the theater when the plane crashed, how thunderous and deep the LFE was. When that scene came up, I cranked it and was a little disappointed, not deep enough. But when the second explosion happened (plane) I jumped when that part of the plane came flying at the screen with great surround effect!

That sub will need 2 nights of rest . I know both my subs had A vary heavy intense workout this afternoon !!

I think tale based on religious writings... It clearly tells you because if you notice the drawing of Ezekiel's Wheel... and not just that, the character's have biblical names, such as Caleb and John... and the "rapture" is so much like what happens in the end of the movie, but of course, you can't actually take out a true biblical movie now with Hollywood, so you have to put 50/50 for the viewers, making some think, that it is aliens... And also, almost at the end, when Nicholas Cage is driving to his parent's house, there is a van with a sign that says "Jesus is thee way, truth & life".... I could keep on trust me lol... but if you want to know more, just let me know and ask and I will gladly answer.

So...the only animals saved were humans...and rabbits?

How about:

The aliens dropped off kids LONG ago on planet "earth." After perhaps another rescue mission. Those kids described what they thought happened and with the whispering into ears throughout the years- these stories become all religious history.

Then the aliens(recognized now as "angels") come back and have to do a rescue again.

Even though this seems like a cold interpretation- consider: who are the aliens? Why do they care? How do they know? (science maybe on this one) And the kicker- Where do they come from?

Brings me to my head-scratcher: Is the future "knowing" needed? and why?

Maybe because they reproduce the fastest??

I'm guessing there are MANY drop-offs on the new planet. Of life forms and other material.
