ANYONE who sees blu-ray compared to DVD IMMEDIATELY desires it. Even if they have no ability nor intention to buy it - they want it. It's not that DVD "is close enough for government work", it's that the have settled on the lesser format. This guy is a thinly vieled supporter of HD-FUD.
