I have my iPod with me today so here's a few albums:

Shur-I-Kan - Humble Bee's Project
DJ Quik & Kurupt - Blaqout
Bob Sinclair - Born in 69(not all hip hop but Lala Song is AMAZING)
Kero One - Early Believers
Classified - Self Explanatory

All are 2009 albums.
Hip Hop is not on the Radio!

Another good Hip Hop Super Group to check for is Slaughterhouse (Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz & Crooked I). All of these dudes are sick!

Check out this song Onslaught!

I am just simply not looking. After the 90's, I pretty much gave up on all new stuff. I'm sure their is good stuff oput there, but everything I have heard for the past 10 years has been completely horrible, imo of course.

i've gotta agree w/u schultzy....i've tried listening to some of the newer stuff out now and i just can't get into it.

i've actually gone from hip-hop/rap to rock lately.

i still like the older 2pac, Bone Thugs, and Biggie but just can't get into any newer artists.

I'm really into the smooth jazzy nu-soul funk hip-hop that is and has been big for a while. Guru's Jazzmatazz really brought it out into the open and groups like The Bran New Heavies keep it rocking.

The Lost Songs 2 : Welcome to Chicago is really an excellent mixtape.

I miss the era when producers used to throw jazzy, laid back samples into their beats. Pete Rock was a master at that. We'll never hear music like that again.

I started with MC Hammer too!

Then it was the WC Rap with The Chronic, and then merged over to NY Hip Hop with Wu-Tang, Tribe, and Nas.
