Anybody ever have an issue with blowitouttahere's ebay page?

I ordered the Australian Hitchcock Complete series DVD sets for $150 each, which was already expensive for DVDs but the cheapest I could find. They both came bouncing around the boxes with the cases completely smashed, one of the boxes crushed, and multiple discs in each set scratched.

I sent them messages with pics of the damage, and they have ignored me for two days now.

I’ve ordered a few things. Most have arrived fine but my ‘Spine of Night’ 4k steelbook came with a few scratches on the 4k disc and they gave me a full refund on that item.

I’m trying to remember how quick their response was but I don’t really remember. I do recall that I had to send pics of the scratches before they gave me the refund.

I've personally only had bad experiences with them, including one just as you're describing. I'm sure experiences vary, but they're on my no-buy list.

Canada Post puts a sticker on damaged packages saying they got it like that but then again I use a Flex PO box like the other smarty pants.

If they continue to ignore you just escalate it to eBay and have them step in.

I believe you have to start a return and then if they don't get back to you within 3 business days you can ask eBay to step in.

This was from their eBay page. And the boxes weren't crushed, the issue is they put these big collections in paper thin boxes and barely anything inside to protect them, so they probably smashed around in transit.

Yeah, I will definitely do that. Just surprised to see a big corporation completely ignore the issue/messages. These are big sets so it will not be cheap to mail them back, but either way, the costs will be on them.

Unfortunately scratched discs seem to be the new normal now. Literally every release I buy now has scratches on the discs.

Was asking as in previous years, if I had a scratched disc, I would return/exchange it right away but now with how often I get them I will just return/exchange if it has playback issues.

I return them whether there's playback issues or not because one player could play it fine but another player may not. I've had this issue before.

That is true, and that is why I used to return all my scratched discs but now with almost every disc coming scratched it really is not feasible anymore.

So I asked for a refund and I received a message from eBay that they the seller couldn’t send a return label, so to contact the seller to arrange shipping. They asked me to send them the sets back the cheapest method possible, and they would refund me once I sent them the receipts. It was just under $40 to ship the two sets back and now they are ignoring and refusing to refund me the return shipping costs. And eBay says it’s out of their hands since I used my own funds to ship it back instead of going through them, even though they are the ones who sent me the message to arrange shipping with the seller. Been going back and forth with eBay for days but it sounds like they cannot help so now I’m out $40. Really frustrated and I can’t believe such a large company would steal money from a seller.

Either way, let my loss be a lesson for you, DO NOT order from Blowitouttahere!

I've ordered a lot of movies from them and so far no issues. I currently have 3 movies coming from them. Not sure why Ebay didn't help you out. Perhaps due to being outside the U.S.

Well that sucks. I'm really surprised eBay isn't issuing a refund for the shipping though since they usually side with the buyer.

I can't seem to find anything in their return shipping policy that states what you did was wrong.

As long as you initiated the return through eBay and have proof the items you received were damaged + proof you paid for return shipping through communication with the seller via eBay I can't see how they don't side with you.

The only other thing I can think of is whether or not you sent it back with tracking to prove they received the return?

No, I sent with tracking and they have proof that the seller received the items. That’s what they used to refund the item as well as the original shipping costs to me. It’s really frustrating!

They kept telling me I should have contacted them when the seller couldn’t pay for the return shipping so they could have forced them to, and that way it would be a transaction through eBay, but they literally sent me a message saying the seller couldn’t provide return labels and to arrange shipping with the seller.

They read all the messages where the seller said send it back and we’re reimbursement you when we receive the receipt of costs and they’re just washing their hands of all of it.

I too always believed the buyer was better covered, and I’m really surprised that a large company like blowitouttahere would steal money from a customer. Whole situation is ridiculous! I never in a million years thought this would be a thing, but I’ll definitely be more weary next timesomeone asks me to cover the return shipping costs. The best part was every time I would phone they would thank me for being a customer with them for 20 years, with a perfect record I might add, but obviously that means nothing to them.

I had to do something similar with an item that I ordered last year from a Ebay seller. Opened up a case with Ebay and they said that the seller had to provide a return shipping label or send me the money via paypal to cover the shipping cost before I send the item back (as they could reimburse me with the return shipping cost after the fact as that was not part of the original transaction). In my case the seller did not want to cover the full cost of shipping so Ebay just issued a refund once enough time had passed.

Good to know. They really should spell that out explicitly in their return shipping policy in their customer service section. Having looked through it I don't see anything that would indicate that's the case.

Agreed. The only message I received from them was the seller couldn’t send a return label, and to arrange a deal with the seller. Mind you, I didn’t think this would be an issue with a large company. It never even crossed my mind that they would rip me off the money.
